ParticipantI recently switched my cats to American Journey cat food, and I’ve been pretty impressed so far. I started with their grain-free chicken recipe dry cat food, then added in some American Journey wet cat food (the pâté canned ones from Chewy). My cats seem to love both, especially the salmon and duck recipes clean bowls every time!
I read that American Journey cat food is high in protein and made with real meat, but I’m still curious about long-term results. Has anyone noticed improvements in their cats’ coats, digestion, or energy levels after switching?
Also, I saw it’s available on Chewy, Petco, and Amazon, but not sure where’s best to buy. Anyone tried the American Journey Landmark line or the indoor chicken grain-free dry cat food?
Would love to hear your American Journey cat food reviews both wet and dry, good or bad. Thinking of making it their main diet, but want to know if it’s really worth it compared to brands like Blue Buffalo or Wellness CORE.

ParticipantI’ve been feeding my two cats the American Journey chicken recipe grain-free dry cat food for about a month now, and they seem pretty happy with it! Their coats are shinier, and there’s been less shedding, which is great. I bought it from Chewy, and the price was fair compared to other grain-free options. I used to feed Kirkland Signature cat food, but honestly, American Journey dry cat food smells fresher and seems more balanced. I haven’t tried the wet cat food yet, though does anyone’s cat prefer the pâté or minced version?

ParticipantMy cats LOVE the American Journey wet cat food, especially the salmon and duck recipes. I usually get the pâté canned cat food from Chewy because it’s always in stock. Compared to Pure Cravings and Nutra Nuggets, the texture is smoother, and my picky eater finishes the bowl every time. I’ve also checked the American Journey cat food ingredients no fillers, no by-products, and a decent protein percentage. I just wish Petco carried more of the Landmark line. The indoor chicken grain-free dry cat food is perfect for my lazy indoor cat.

ParticipantI’ve been rotating between American Journey salmon recipe grain-free dry cat food and the turkey & chicken grain-free canned cat food, and it’s been great! My senior cat has more energy and no more hairballs. I like that the American Journey cat food line lists real meat as the first ingredient. I used to feed Nature’s Domain, but this one seems gentler on digestion. Has anyone noticed if it’s good for cats with mild kidney sensitivity? Also curious if there’s ever been an American Journey cat food recall?

ParticipantI’ve got two rescues, and both are thriving on American Journey canned cat food! I mix the chicken and salmon pâté to keep things interesting. Their fur is softer, and they’ve stopped vomiting after meals. I used to feed Kirkland cat food, but after comparing the American Journey cat food nutrition info, this one’s higher in animal protein. I get mine from Amazon when Chewy runs out. I’d call it premium without the insane price tag. I haven’t had any luck finding American Journey cat food near me, though mostly online.

ParticipantI switched to American Journey grain-free dry cat food after reading about its high-protein formula. My cat, Milo, had issues with allergies on other brands like Nutra Nuggets, but since switching, no itching or paw licking! The indoor chicken grain-free dry cat food smells super fresh, and his stool looks normal again. I grabbed a bag from Petco, but it’s a little pricier there than on Chewy. Has anyone compared it with Wellness CORE or Blue Buffalo? I’m wondering if the difference is just marketing or real ingredients.

ParticipantJust started the American Journey duck recipe grain-free dry cat food, and wow my finicky cat actually eats it without any toppings! I had her on Pure Cravings for a while, but the smell was too strong. This one is mild but meaty. I read the American Journey cat food ratings on Chewy before trying it, and most cat parents seem happy with it. I’ll probably order the pâté wet cat food next time to mix things up. The fact that it’s made in the USA gives me extra peace of mind.

ParticipantThe American Journey cat food Landmark line is amazing! My cats go crazy for the chicken & turkey recipe. It’s more expensive than regular American Journey dry cat food, but the higher protein makes it worth it. I switched from Kirkland Signature cat food, and the difference is obvious my cats have more energy, and their litter box doesn’t smell as bad. I buy it directly from Chewy’s website, since that’s where American Journey originated. Anyone know if PetSmart plans to carry it soon?

ParticipantI think American Journey wet cat food is underrated. I feed my cat the turkey and chicken pâté, and she cleans the bowl every time. The ingredients are simple no grain, no corn, just real meat and broth. Compared to Pure Cravings, it’s less oily but still flavorful. I used to get Nutra Nuggets because it was cheaper, but the results weren’t as good. My cat’s coat looks shiny, and her appetite is steady. I buy from Amazon, though shipping takes longer than Chewy.

ParticipantAnyone else’s cat obsessed with the American Journey minced wet cat food? My tabby can’t get enough of it. I usually alternate it with American Journey chicken recipe grain-free dry cat food so she doesn’t get bored. I read somewhere that American Journey cat food is made by the same manufacturer as Chewy’s house brand, but I’m not 100% sure. Either way, I’ve noticed fewer hairballs and more hydration since switching. Definitely recommend trying the salmon recipe grain-free dry cat food next great results!

ParticipantI tried American Journey duck and pea dry cat food for my overweight cat. It’s been a few weeks, and she’s lost a bit of weight while still seeming full and satisfied. I used to feed Nature’s Domain, but this one feels more species-appropriate high protein, low carb. The American Journey cat food nutrition facts are pretty transparent too. I haven’t tried the wet version, but I’ve got a case of the salmon canned cat food coming soon. It’s nice that Chewy often offers discounts or coupons for it.

ParticipantThe American Journey indoor recipe with chicken grain-free dry cat food works great for my senior cat. I used to struggle finding a formula that didn’t upset her stomach, but this one digests easily. I checked out American Journey cat food on Reddit, and people love how it keeps cats fuller longer. I also buy the American Journey canned cat food as a weekend treat. Honestly, it’s just as good as Blue Buffalo, but cheaper. Anyone else notice their cats drinking less water after switching to the wet food?

ParticipantI had doubts, but the American Journey cat food line has really impressed me. I feed both wet and dry to balance moisture and crunch. The chicken recipe grain free dry food is my go-to, while the pâté canned cat food is perfect for dinner. Compared to Kirkland Signature or Nutra Nuggets, the texture and smell are fresher. My cats’ breath even smells better! I order from Chewy mostly, but I wish PetSmart stocked it too. Haven’t seen any American Journey cat food recall notices either, which is reassuring.

ParticipantBeen on American Journey dry cat food for about a year now, and no complaints! My cats love the duck recipe grain-free flavor. Their vet commented on their healthy weight and muscle tone. I used to rely on Nature’s Domain, but that made their coats dull. This food fixed it quickly. I rotate between Chewy and Petco depending on sales. The American Journey cat food ingredients are top-notch real meat, no corn or soy. Wish they had a smaller bag option for travel, though.

ParticipantHas anyone tried mixing American Journey Landmark canned food with the regular grain-free dry chicken recipe? I’ve been doing that for my cats, and they seem to love the combo. The wet food adds hydration, while the dry kibble keeps their teeth strong. Compared to Kirkland Signature cat food, this brand feels more premium. The American Journey cat food website lists all their ingredients clearly, which I appreciate. My cats have more energy and less shedding since switching feels like the right choice long-term.
