I’ve been trying out Evanger’s Cat Food lately mostly their grain-free wet recipes like the organic chicken and rabbit dinners and my cats actually seem to love it! I switched to it because I wanted something more natural with limited ingredients, and Evanger’s seemed to check those boxes.

But now I’m a bit confused after reading mixed stuff online. Some people mentioned Evanger’s cat food recalls in the past, while others swear by their organic canned cat food and EVx restricted diet formulas. I’ve also seen their food under other names like Cocolicious, which I didn’t realize was made by Evanger’s too.

So I’m curious what’s your experience with Evanger’s wet or dry cat food? Has anyone here used their low-phosphorus or urinary support recipes? Do you feel it’s really as “natural” and “high quality” as they claim?

Also, does anyone know the best place to buy Evanger’s now Chewy, Amazon, or local pet stores? I’ve been having trouble finding some of the organic grain-free cans in stock.

Would love to hear your honest thoughts good or bad. Let’s help each other figure out if Evanger’s cat food is still worth it in 2026.

I’ve used Evanger’s Wet Cat Food for a few years now, mainly the organic chicken and rabbit dinners. My cats adore it! I switched from Nature’s Domain and noticed better digestion and shinier coats almost immediately. I did read about the old Evanger’s Cat Food Recall, but that was years ago and seems to have been resolved. The current Evanger’s Organic Cat Food cans look fresh, smell real, and don’t have that heavy processed texture. I get mine on Chewy usually in bulk since it sells out fast.

I’ve tried Evanger’s Canned Cat Food and was impressed with how clean the ingredient list is. The Rabbit & Quail variety was my cat’s absolute favorite. I came across the EVx Urinary Cat Food too, and it really helped my male cat who had urinary issues before. I trust Evanger’s Dog & Cat Food Co because they’ve been around forever and seem family run. I used to feed Pure Cravings, but Evanger’s feels more “homemade.” Definitely one of the few brands that smell like actual food instead of mystery mush.

I remember hearing about an Evanger’s Cat Food Recall a few years back, which made me hesitant. But after doing some research, I learned it was specific to a few dog food batches, not the cat line. I recently switched to Evanger’s Organic Turkey & Butternut Squash Dinner Canned Cat Food, and it’s been a hit. My cats have sensitive stomachs, and they’ve handled this beautifully. I used to use Nutra Nuggets, but this feels like an upgrade in quality and freshness.

Evanger’s Grain-Free Meat Lover’s Medley with Rabbit Dry Cat Food has been awesome for my cat who can’t handle fish. The no fish formula is a lifesaver. I like that Evanger’s Cat Food doesn’t use unnecessary fillers or weird by products. Compared to Kirkland Signature, this feels more nutrient-dense. My cat’s coat is glossy, and her energy levels are higher. I get mine from Amazon since my local pet store rarely has it in stock. Definitely worth trying if your cat prefers natural proteins like rabbit or quail.

I’m currently alternating between Evanger’s Wet Cat Food and Pure Cravings for variety. My cats love the Organic Salmon and the Chicken Lickin’ Dinner. The moisture content is perfect, especially for one of my cats who doesn’t drink much water. I also love that Evanger’s Cat Food is made by Evanger’s Dog & Cat Food Co Inc, a brand with decades of history. It gives me more confidence in the quality. Haven’t seen any new recalls, so I think their production is more controlled now.

Evanger’s Organic Braised Chicken Canned Cat Food is my senior cat’s all-time favorite! She used to eat Nature’s Domain but always left half behind. Now she finishes her plate every time. I really appreciate that Evanger’s Cat Food has simple ingredients like chicken, broth, and liver no gums or preservatives. The EVx Restricted Diet Cat Food line is great too if your cat needs something medical-grade. I find Chewy usually has the best prices, though PetSmart sometimes has better stock availability.

I’ve tried almost every flavor from Evanger’s Dog & Cat Food Co, and my cats have been loving them. The Organic Beef Dinner and the Rabbit Canned Cat Food are hits here. I was skeptical after hearing about an Evanger’s Cat Food Recall a few years back, but so far, no issues. The cans open cleanly, and the food looks like real meat not paste. I used to buy Nutra Nuggets dry food, but now I use Evanger’s Wet Cat Food as their main meal.

I feed my cat the Evanger’s Organic Salmon Cat Food and it’s been amazing for her skin. She had itchy patches before, but this cleared them up. I’ve also tried their low phosphorus option for my friend’s cat with kidney issues the results were great. I appreciate that Evanger’s Cat Food ingredients are short and recognizable. I checked their site and saw they’re still family-owned. Compared to Pure Cravings or Kirkland Signature, Evanger’s feels much more artisanal and less industrial.

I first discovered Evanger’s Cat Food through their Cocolicious line didn’t even realize it was from the same company! My cats love both the chicken and the quail recipes. I also like that Evanger’s Dog & Cat Food Co uses real meat as the first ingredient. It’s nice to see a company that still prioritizes nutrition over marketing buzzwords. I’ve tried Nature’s Domain and Nutra Nuggets before, but they didn’t compare to how fresh and wholesome Evanger’s Canned Cat Food feels.

Evanger’s Wet Cat Food has been fantastic for my picky eater. I alternate between Organic Turkey & Butternut Squash and Organic Chicken. The smell is pleasant not that weird “fish factory” vibe. I was worried after reading about the Evanger’s Cat Food Recall, but that was old news. My vet actually recommended the EVx Urinary Cat Food line for prevention, and it’s been great. I usually order from Chewy, but sometimes I find better prices for Evanger’s Cat Food on Amazon.

Evanger’s Organic Canned Cat Food really surprised me. I expected it to be bland since it’s all-natural, but my cats gobble it up. The Organic Salmon flavor is a big hit! I used to feed Pure Cravings and Nature’s Domain, but Evanger’s texture and moisture level seem better. I like that Evanger’s Dog & Cat Food Company Inc offers both grain free and low-phosphorus formulas for different needs. I’ve never seen a recall on the organic line, which gives me confidence in their quality.

I’ve been feeding my cat Evanger’s Grain-Free Rabbit Canned Dog & Cat Food yes, the multi-species one and it’s been great. It’s super high in protein and doesn’t contain unnecessary additives. Compared to Kirkland Signature, this one feels much purer and closer to raw nutrition. I had some concerns after seeing mentions of an Evanger’s Dog & Cat Food Recall years ago, but none recently. I like that the brand still makes small-batch foods in their own facilities instead of outsourcing.

My cat has a sensitive stomach, and the Evanger’s Restricted Diet Cat Food was one of the few that worked. It’s limited ingredient, which is perfect for digestion issues. I also feed a bit of the Evanger’s Organic Turkey Canned Cat Food for variety. I love that this company doesn’t use by products or artificial flavoring. I tried Pure Cravings before but switched because I wanted something closer to whole food. Evanger’s Wet Cat Food is definitely one of the better grain-free options out there.

Evanger’s Cat Food has been in our rotation for years. The Rabbit and Quail Canned Cat Food is our go-to. It’s high in protein, grain-free, and perfect for my active cats. I used to mix it with Nutra Nuggets dry food, but honestly, they prefer Evanger’s on its own. I’ve seen no signs of stomach upset or hairballs since switching. I did a check online recently there are no new Evanger’s Cat Food Recalls. It’s great to see they’ve maintained their standards.
