Lately I’ve been trying different IAMS cat treats with my cats everything from the dental treats and oral care daily treats to the hairball control chicken and salmon flavors. The IAMS Proactive Health cat treats and the daily oral care salmon ones have been pretty popular here, and the texture seems gentle enough even for picky or sensitive cats.

I’ve seen a lot of versions out there: IAMS hairball treats, proactive health hairball care daily treats, IAMS salmon cat treats, chicken flavor, even sensitive stomach options. Some people talk about older flavors being discontinued, and a few mention their cats not reacting well to certain hairball formulas, but overall the brand is still easy to find and seems to work well for many cats.

IAMS also has treat-style dry cat food bites, plus coupon deals pop up sometimes. Whether it’s the dental, hairball, oral care, or Proactive Health treats, there’s a pretty big variety depending on what each cat needs.

I’ve had mixed luck with IAMS cat treats lately. My oldest cat loves the IAMS cat dental treats and the daily oral care salmon bites, but my younger one acts like I gave him medicine. The hairball control chicken flavor worked surprisingly well, though I get nervous when people mention older versions being discontinued. I rotate them with Pure Cravings wet food and sometimes Kirkland Signature dry food just to balance things out. Honestly, every cat in my house reacts differently, so finding treats that don’t upset picky tummies feels like a fulltime job.

Anyone else notice their cats go wild for the IAMS salmon cat treats one day, then completely ignore them the next? Mine switch moods so fast. The IAMS proactive health cat treats were a hit for a while, especially the hairball ones, but then one of mine got a little tummy upset and I backed off. Now I mix in Nature’s Domain dry cat food bites and some soft Pure Cravings tuna toppers. It keeps things interesting without relying only on treats. IAMS is still easy to find, but availability definitely feels weird sometimes.

My picky queen refuses almost every snack, but shockingly she liked the IAMS cat treats chicken flavor. I only give a few since I never know how many IAMS treats to feed my cat without overdoing it, especially with the hairball formulas. I alternate between IAMS treats for cats and Nutra Nuggets dry food because she gets bored easily. No issues with stomach upset so far, and thank goodness the IAMS cat dental treats still seem to be made. I’d be sad if those ever disappeared because they’ve actually helped with her breath.

I tried the IAMS hairball cat treats after my longhaired boy had a rough shedding season, and honestly they helped more than I expected. The salmon flavor seemed gentler, but when I accidentally grabbed the hairball chicken ones, he still ate them like candy. I pair the treats with Nature’s Domain wet food because it keeps his stomach settled. A friend said their cat got sick from IAMS treats once, but mine have been okay. I do worry when people ask what happened to IAMS cat treats because some stores barely keep them stocked.

The only IAMS product my cats consistently enjoy is the IAMS cat treats daily oral care salmon. They crunch them so happily, I feel like a good cat parent, even though they still refuse every dental toy I buy. I used to pick up the IAMS dry cat food treats too, but lately I can’t find them anywhere. Maybe something got discontinued? I mix them with a little Pure Cravings salmon wet food on treat days. It feels like a fancy buffet to them and everyone eats without any drama, which is rare in my house.

My orange boy has a sensitive stomach, so I’m cautious with treats. Surprisingly, the IAMS sensitive stomach cat treats didn’t bother him at all. But when I tried the proactive health oral care chicken flavor daily cat treats, he didn’t even sniff them. Total rejection. My other cat loves the salmon ones, so at least nothing goes to waste. I pair treats with Kirkland Signature dry cat food because it’s gentle and affordable. If IAMS cat treats ever get recalled again, I’ll have to rethink everything, but so far things seem fine.

IAMS cat treats hairball control chicken worked great for my longhaired girl, but I made the mistake of giving too many, and she ended up vomiting later that night. My vet said hairball treats should be limited anyway, so maybe that was on me. Now I only give a couple along with Nutra Nuggets indoor formula. The IAMS salmon flavor cat treats still seem safe, and honestly she prefers those. I did hear people wondering if IAMS cat treats are discontinued, but my local store still carries the dental ones without any issue.

The IAMS proactive health daily cat treats used to be my goto because they were gentle and didn’t upset anyone’s stomach. Lately, though, I can’t find them anywhere, and store staff look at me like I’m making them up. So now I’m stuck rotating between IAMS cat food treats and Pure Cravings wet varieties. My younger cat is obsessed with the IAMS oral care daily treats for cats, especially the salmon ones. If those ever disappear, I’m doomed. Treat shopping is already chaotic enough when each cat has totally different preferences.

I gave the IAMS dental cat treats a try because my older cat refuses brushing and acts betrayed whenever I even touch her mouth. These treats actually helped loosen some buildup. Not perfect, but enough to make me feel better. My kitten prefers the IAMS chicken cat treats, and sometimes I mix in Kirkland Signature wet food so it all feels like a tiny feast. I’ve seen people ask where to buy IAMS cat treats lately because shelves look empty sometimes. Thankfully, my store restocked last week, so I grabbed two bags.

My longhaired boy struggled with hairballs for years, so I tried everything from oils to special wet foods. The IAMS hairball treats for cats actually helped reduce the frequency, especially the salmon flavor. But when I switched to the proactive health hairball care chicken flavor daily cat treats, he got a bit gassy. Maybe it’s just his delicate system. I now mix Nature’s Domain wet food with a few IAMS treats here and there. Balancing flavors, proteins, and textures feels like managing a tiny, fluffy restaurant sometimes.

Anyone else feel like availability for IAMS cat treats changes randomly? One month I see every flavorsalmon, chicken, dental, hairballand the next month the shelves are basically empty. I rely on the IAMS oral care cat treats because they’ve been gentle on my picky cat’s teeth. When I can’t find them, I use Pure Cravings tuna toppers just to keep her happy. I haven’t had issues with the treats making cats sick, but I know some people worry. For now, they’re still part of our regular routine without any drama.

My cats rotate between loving and ignoring the IAMS proactive health oral care salmon flavor daily cat treats. One week, they act like they discovered the meaning of life, and the next they forget the treats exist. I give them alongside Nutra Nuggets dry food, which has been surprisingly reliable. I never give too many because I’m still not sure how many IAMS treats to feed my cat without overdoing it. No stomach issues so far, and thankfully the dental ones are still being made. If those vanish, my cats will riot.

The IAMS cat treats oral care version has been a lifesaver for my older girl with weaker gums. She avoids anything too crunchy, but these are soft enough that she doesn’t struggle. My younger cat prefers the IAMS salmon flavor cat treats, so I always have both on hand. When I can’t find them in stores, I grab Kirkland Signature wet food and they act like I brought home a miracle. I did see someone say the proactive hairball treats made their cat sick, so I’m hesitant to try those.

I tried the IAMS cat treats hairball remedy version when shedding season kicked in, and honestly they worked better than expected. My cat also enjoyed the salmon hairball cat treats, so that helped keep things consistent. When I need to switch things up, I use Pure Cravings salmon wet food as a treat alternative. I do sometimes wonder what happened to IAMS cat treats because certain flavors disappear out of nowhere. Maybe stores are phasing out older ones? Either way, I buy extras when they’re available just to be safe.
