ParticipantI’ve been trying out Dave’s Cat Food for a few months now, and honestly, it surprised me in the best way. My senior cat had tummy issues before, and after switching to Dave’s Naturally Healthy Cat Food, she’s eating better and her fur looks shinier.
What I like most is that Dave’s Wet Cat Food (especially the Dave’s Shredded Chicken Cat Food and Turkey & Giblets recipe) smells like real meat and doesn’t have that artificial odor that some brands do. Plus, it’s more affordable than most “premium” brands I’ve tried.
I also picked up the Dave’s Restricted Diet Cat Food for my friend’s cat who needs low phosphorus meals and it worked really well. No issues with digestion or appetite loss. It’s pretty cool that they even have options like Dave’s Pet Food Renal Cat Treats and Dave’s Grain Free Cat Food.
Anyone else here tried Dave’s Canned Cat Food or the Cat’s Meow line? I heard the Dave’s Naturally Healthy Cat Food Reviews online are mostly positive, but I’d love to know your real-life experiences.
Also, random but fun I saw people talking about “Cat Food Dave the Diver” on Reddit 😂 Is that inspired by this brand, or just a funny coincidence?

ParticipantI’ve been feeding my cats Dave’s Naturally Healthy Cat Food for about six months, and it’s honestly one of the best changes I’ve made. The wet recipes, especially the Dave’s Shredded Chicken Cat Food and Turkey & Giblets, actually smell like food. My picky eater loves them. I buy from Chewy, but lately, it’s been harder to find some flavors in stock. I also like that they have a restricted diet line it helped my older cat manage his phosphorus levels. For the price, Dave’s Cat Food really delivers quality without the crazy markup.

ParticipantSame here! I started with Dave’s Grain Free Cat Food when my vet suggested fewer fillers for my Maine Coon. His coat looks amazing now. I tried both the wet and dry versions, and the wet ones win hands down. I’ve also seen people talking about “Cat Food Dave the Diver” online had a laugh thinking of my cat diving into a can of turkey dinner. 😂 I usually grab mine from Amazon when Chewy’s out. It’s affordable and doesn’t upset my cats’ stomachs like some big-name brands.

ParticipantI recently tried Dave’s Restricted Diet Cat Food because my senior cat needed low phosphorus meals. It’s been a lifesaver. She eats it happily and no more throwing up or stomach discomfort. I also picked up the Dave’s Pet Food Renal Cat Treats, which she surprisingly enjoys rare for a picky eater! I used to feed her Nature’s Domain, but Dave’s feels gentler and more balanced. I just wish it were easier to find locally. I might stock up from Chewy or PetFlow before it runs out.

ParticipantAnyone else try the Dave’s Canned Cat Food “Cat’s Meow” line? My tabby loves it. I mix it with a little Kirkland Signature dry food, and it keeps her full all day. I was drawn to Dave’s because of the clean ingredients and no weird fillers. The Shredded Chicken flavor is a hit, and I’ve noticed less shedding since switching. I also appreciate that they make options for cats with sensitivities. Affordable, clean, and cats actually eat it that’s a rare combo.

ParticipantMy cat had digestive issues on Nutra Nuggets, so I switched to Dave’s Wet Cat Food after a friend’s recommendation. Total game changer. The naturally healthy line smells like real meat and doesn’t cause bloating. I love that they even have low magnesium and phosphorus recipes for older cats. It’s nice finding a brand that’s transparent about ingredients. I still wonder about the “Dave the Diver Cat Food” meme though whoever made that deserves a medal. 😂 Anyway, Dave’s is staying on our shelf for good.

ParticipantDave’s Cat Food might not have flashy packaging, but it’s solid. My vet said it’s a great option for cats with sensitive stomachs, especially the turkey and giblets formula. My cat used to vomit regularly, but after a month on Dave’s Naturally Healthy Cat Food, that stopped. I also bought the grain-free chicken cans huge hit. My only gripe is the limited stock. I wish PetSmart carried it more widely. It’s definitely better than most supermarket brands I’ve tried.

ParticipantThe affordability of Dave’s Cat Food is what first caught my eye, but the quality kept me coming back. I started with the Dave’s 95% Chicken formula my cats licked the bowls clean! It’s rare to find high-protein food without fillers at that price point. I’ve seen “Dave’s Cat Food Recall” posts online, but I couldn’t find any real issues. My cats have been fine on it for over a year. I alternate between the Shredded Chicken and the Cat’s Meow varieties to keep things interesting.

ParticipantI’ve been using Dave’s Wet Cat Food for my diabetic cat, and it’s working out really well. The low-carb content helps keep his blood sugar stable, and he actually enjoys eating it. I love that they have a Restricted Diet line not many affordable brands do that. I used to buy Pure Cravings but found Dave’s easier on the budget without sacrificing quality. The chicken and turkey cans are our go-to. I always grab extras whenever I see them in stock online.

ParticipantDave’s Grain Free Cat Food has been a staple in my house for years. My cats rotate between that and Kirkland Signature dry food. The difference in coat shine and energy is noticeable when they’re on Dave’s. I especially like the Turkey & Giblets flavor less mushy than most canned foods. My cats also enjoy the Dave’s Pet Food Cat’s Meow line. I think it’s made in smaller batches, which might explain why it sometimes sells out quickly on Chewy.

ParticipantI’ve tried so many “premium” brands, but Dave’s Naturally Healthy Cat Food honestly beats most of them. My cat’s digestion improved within two weeks of switching. The ingredients list reads like something I’d cook no by-products, just meat and broth. I tried Nature’s Domain before, but Dave’s is easier on my cat’s stomach. The Shredded Chicken and Salmon recipes are her absolute favorites. Bonus: no fishy smell that lingers forever in the kitchen. That’s a win in my book.

ParticipantMy friend recommended Dave’s Canned Cat Food after my rescue cat refused to eat almost everything else. I was skeptical at first, but wow the Shredded Chicken variety was an instant hit. He’s gaining healthy weight and seems more playful. I mix in a bit of dry food for crunch, sometimes Kirkland Signature or Pure Cravings. I’m also curious about the “Dave the Diver Cat Food” joke online guess Dave’s has some unexpected pop culture fame now. 😂

ParticipantDave’s Restricted Diet Cat Food saved my senior kitty’s life. She has kidney issues and can’t handle high phosphorus food. The low phosphorus recipe from Dave’s works perfectly and doesn’t make her lose her appetite. It’s one of the few brands that make specialized formulas without costing a fortune. I buy directly from Amazon or Chewy since stores near me rarely stock it. If you’re managing renal or digestive problems, Dave’s Pet Food line is definitely worth checking out.

ParticipantThe Dave’s Pet Food Cat’s Meow line is underrated! My cats go crazy for the turkey flavor. It’s grain-free, smells fresh, and even my picky eater approves. I’ve tried Nature’s Domain and Lotus before, but Dave’s seems to have the best balance of price and nutrition. The texture isn’t too soupy or dry, just right. I’ve been telling all my cat parent friends to give it a shot. If only it was easier to find locally — it’s usually “sold out” everywhere near me.

ParticipantI started buying Dave’s Wet Cat Food when I noticed my cat wasn’t finishing her usual Pure Cravings meals. She instantly loved the Shredded Chicken flavor. The texture is so natural you can see real chunks of meat. I’ve also tried the Restricted Diet line for my friend’s cat, and it’s been great for kidney health. Between the affordable price, good ingredients, and solid results, Dave’s has become my new go-to. Bonus points for not smelling overly fishy like some other brands!
