Small Cat Food Reviews: Honest Opinions from a Cat Lover

Question

I recently started feeding my cats Smalls cat food, and I’m curious to hear what others think. I tried their fresh ground bird meals and some of the small kibble dry cat food. So far, my cats really seem to enjoy it  especially the bird and chicken flavors. Clean bowls every time! 😻
I’ve read that Smalls cat food is made with fresh ingredients and is higher in protein than most small batch cat foods. I’m wondering about long-term effects though has anyone noticed changes in their cats’ energy, digestion, or coat after switching?
Would love to hear reviews of Smalls cat food both wet and dry, good or bad. Thinking about making it the main diet for my cats, but I’d love to know if it’s really worth it compared to other brands.

I gave my indoor cats the Smalls small kibble dry cat food after trying smaller cans of wet food for a week, and it’s been a hit. They seem to prefer the smaller bites, and their energy levels have increased noticeably. I mix in Pure Cravings every few days for variety, but the main diet is Smalls. The ingredients are clean, and I don’t see any digestive issues that sometimes pop up with Nutra Nuggets or Kirkland dry. It’s pricier, yes, but worth it for cats that actually eat happily and thrive.

The small kibble dry food is easy for them to pick up, and the wet fresh ground bird food gets completely licked clean. I still keep some Kirkland Signature dry food around for backup, but my cats refuse to eat anything else when Smalls is available. I ordered a Smalls cat food sampler to see if my cats would eat it, and they went crazy for the bird and chicken flavors. I usually feed Nutra Nuggets or Nature’s Domain for dry food, but Smalls feels fresher and more natural. I mix the wet pate with a little water to soften it, and my senior cat eats it without problems. No stomach upset, normal litter box habits, and energy is up. I can see myself slowly transitioning my cats fully to Smalls, though the monthly cost is definitely higher than Costco Kirkland bags.
