I emailed Triumph once asking about the ash content in Triumph canned cat food because my vet wanted lower-mineral foods. They didn’t give an exact number, which already made me suspicious. I ended up switching to Pure Cravings for a while since they’re more transparent. But Triumph turkey formula canned cat food did help my picky eater gain some weight when nothing else worked. If you’re comparing with Nature’s Domain or Kirkland Signature, Triumph tends to be softer and more pâté-like, which some cats love, others don’t.

My cat loves Triumph trout cat food, but I can rarely find it now. Maybe discontinued? It’s like every time I find a food she likes, the universe removes it 😭. I’ve tried ordering from Amazon Triumph listings, PetSmart, and even random small websites. No luck. The texture of Triumph cat food is nice, though not too mushy, not too firm. Compared to Nutra Nuggets, Triumph is richer and higher in fat, which might explain why picky cats like it. Haven’t had any recall issues personally.

I used Triumph premium cat food when my cat had dental issues because the pâté texture was super easy to lap up. She liked the salmon and turkey equally. But yes, quality control can be hit-or-miss. Once I got a can with a hard “rubber-like” piece inside. Not dangerous, but weird. I still use it occasionally because it’s affordable and better than some cheap store-brand foods. Pure Cravings is still my top choice, though. Triumph is like my “backup food” for when I run out of everything else.

For anyone wondering where to buy Triumph cat food: I usually find it at Petco, but it sells out fast. Walmart had the ocean fish 13 oz cans for a while, but then they disappeared. Amazon Triumph options are overpriced sometimes, so compare before buying. My cats do like the turkey flavor a lot. I haven’t seen the Hi Tor Triumph kidney formula in months, though maybe supply issues? If your cat likes Triumph, I’d stock up because availability is unpredictable.

Triumph meals of victory cat food was one of my cat’s favorites when she was younger. The chicken variety was super moist compared to other pâtés. But over time she switched loyalties to Pure Cravings salmon and Nature’s Domain turkey. Triumph canned cat food calories are on the lighter side, so it’s good for weight management but not the best for cats who need to gain weight. I did notice some formulas have a stronger smell especially the beef. Still, Triumph has a nostalgic place in my rotation.

I tried the Triumph Free Spirit cat food dry formula and honestly didn’t love the ingredient list. It wasn’t terrible, but compared to Kirkland Signature or Nutra Nuggets, the protein sources weren’t as clean. My cat ate it, but didn’t seem super enthusiastic. The Triumph canned cat food, though especially chicken and liver is where the brand shines. It’s budget-friendly and surprisingly palatable. I’d avoid the ocean fish if your cat has allergies. Also yes, the 13.2 oz cans ARE getting phased out slowly. My local stores confirmed it.
