I like that Simply Puree cat treats squeeze easily even if you don’t use full strength pressure. They’re perfect when you just want a quick, calm treat session. I also tried Wild Eats Simply Puree cat treats to keep variety and avoid treat fatigue. When used on top of Nature’s Domain wet food, it boosts interest fast. No clumping, no excessive smell, just a smooth lickable texture. It’s now a constant reorder item in my house.

My senior cats love The Honest Kitchen Prowl dehydrated cat food. 😺 Ingredients in The Honest Kitchen cat food are human-grade, digestible, and protein-rich. I sometimes mix in MMMIXERS chicken & duck cat food topper. Petco, Amazon Canada, and Honest Kitchen online are my sources. Carb content is lower than Kirkland Signature or Nutra Nuggets, which seems to help with weight. Hairballs have decreased, digestion is smoother, and coat shinier. Definitely a premium option compared to typical kibble, and my cats actually seem to prefer it over dry food.

My indoor cats love Health Extension grain-free dry cat food turkey & salmon recipe. Bowls are always empty! 😺 Ingredients in Health Extension cat food are digestible and protein-rich. Digestion has improved, hairballs are fewer, and coats are shinier. I rotate wet food like Holistic Health Extension or Pure Cravings. Amazon and Chewy are my main sources, sometimes with coupons. Price is higher than Kirkland Signature, but the coat, energy, and digestion improvements make it worth it. Definitely a premium holistic option for sensitive or picky cats.

Lotus dry cat food has been a huge help for my cat’s dental health. The oven-baked texture seems to clean her teeth naturally. I also mix in the Just Juicy Chicken Stew as a topper for hydration. I was feeding Nature’s Domain before, but she got bored of it. Now she eats every bite. I also noticed less shedding and better energy levels. I buy Lotus cat food from Amazon or Petco depending on stock it’s worth every penny for the results I’ve seen.

The pate consistency works perfectly for senior cats or those with dental issues. My older cat with declining teeth eats Kirkland pate easily. Soft texture requires no chewing supporting elderly cats who struggle with harder textures.

    Protein options I’ve seen:

    Chicken: Most common formula
    Salmon: Fish-based alternative
    Turkey: Leaner poultry option

Selection is limited compared to major brands offering dozens of varieties. But having few well-made options might be better than overwhelming choice. I rotate between chicken and salmon which provides adequate variety for my cat.

The breed specific formulas seem gimmicky to me but I tried the Persian formula for my long-haired boy. The kibble shape is designed differently kind of wedge-shaped to help Persians pick it up easier with their flat faces. He does seem to eat more comfortably with it compared to round kibbles he used to struggle with. Not sure if the nutrition is dramatically different from regular formulas, but the physical design consideration actually makes sense for brachycephalic breeds.

PERFECT FOR PICKY EATERS!! 🎯 My cat is ridiculously selective and has refused hundreds of dollars worth of food over the years. The natural simplicity of Applaws finally won her over. I think the lack of artificial flavors and strong additives appeals to cats with sensitive palates.

She can taste the actual FISH or CHICKEN without all the chemical interference. Her enthusiasm at mealtime is something I’ve never seen before. If you have a notoriously difficult eater, the pure natural taste of Applaws might be exactly what they’re looking for. 💕🙏
