I recently bought Tender & True organic cat food for my kittens both dry and wet options. The organic chicken & liver dry food seems very wholesome. They also tried the whitefish wet cat food and cleaned their bowls immediately. I compared it to Pure Cravings and Nutra Nuggets, and Tender & True seems a lot more natural and easier on digestion. I saw a few Tender and True cat food reviews and they all mentioned shiny coats and happy cats so far, I can confirm the same. Sprouts and Amazon carry it locally and online.

If anyone’s wondering “is Wild Harvest cat food good for picky cats?” — my answer is maybe. My picky girl only touches the Wild Harvest cat food turkey recipe. Everything else she sniffs and walks off dramatically. I rotate between this and Kirkland Signature’s chicken formula. For people asking where to buy Wild Harvest cat food in Minnesota, I found it at a Hornbacher’s when I was visiting my cousin. I like knowing what’s in their food, and while I’m not blown away by all the ingredients, it’s decent enough for the price bracket.

I recently tried the American Natural Premium grain-free cat food for my kittens. Bowls are empty within minutes! 😻 Ingredients seem high-quality, and their digestion is smoother than with other kitten foods I’ve tried. I rotate in American Natural Premium original recipe dry cat food for crunch. Amazon and Chewy are my main sources, occasionally with coupons. Price is higher than Pure Cravings, but coat shine, energy, and digestion improvements make it worth it. Definitely a good holistic option for kittens or sensitive cats.

Same issue here my Whole Earth Farms canned cat food shipment from Chewy got canceled due to “supplier delay.” That’s never a good sign. 😔 My picky eater used to devour the chicken and duck pâté. I checked Merrick’s website, and they’ve quietly removed most of the Whole Earth Farms cat food pages. Maybe they’re discontinuing it for good? I’m testing out Nutra Nuggets wet food right now, but I wish Whole Earth Farms would make a comeback.

Tried Meow Mix and my cat’s coat became noticeably dull within six weeks. Energy decreased, she seemed less playful overall. Switched to better quality food and both improved within month. The affordability definitely reflects ingredient quality compromises that showed in her condition. Sometimes paying even $0.50 more per pound makes real visible health difference worth the modest cost increase.

My cat picked out all the freeze-dried raw pieces and left the regular kibble behind. She ate only the coating bits and ignored the base food. Defeated the purpose of balanced nutrition when she’s selectively eating. Maybe works better for less picky cats who eat everything together. Quality seemed fine but her selective eating made it impractical for us.

Wellness has been around since the 1990s with reasonably consistent quality over decades. They don’t chase every trendy ingredient that becomes popular. Their formulas evolve slowly based on research rather than marketing fads. That conservative approach means less excitement but more reliability. Sometimes boring and steady is exactly what you want in something as important as daily nutrition.
