CatDishDaily
ParticipantI tested a sample of Simply Puree cat treats before buying bigger packs, and they blew expectations. They’re smooth enough that even my cat with missing teeth can enjoy them. The Wild Eats Simply Puree cat treats added variety, which kept treat time exciting. I even use them to encourage hydration by mixing into a tiny amount of water. And when using Kirkland Signature dry food, just a little puree helps boost interest. It’s such a simple fix for picky appetites.

ParticipantMy cats love The Honest Kitchen Grace grain-free dehydrated cat food. 😺 Ingredients in The Honest Kitchen cat food are digestible and human-grade. Energy has improved, hairballs reduced, and coat looks shiny. I mix in The Honest Kitchen minced cat food occasionally for variety. Petco, Amazon Canada, and Honest Kitchen online have been my sources. The carb content is lower than standard dry foods like Kirkland Signature, which seems to help with weight management. Small sample packs are perfect for trying flavors, and my cats genuinely enjoy the dehydrated formula.

ParticipantMy senior cats have been eating Health Extension cat food low in phosphorus. Ingredients in Health Extension cat food are gentle on digestion and protein-rich. Coats are shinier, digestion smoother, and hairballs are reduced. I rotate with Nature’s Domain wet cat food for hydration. Petco and Amazon are convenient sources, sometimes with coupons. Price is higher than Nutra Nuggets or Kirkland Signature, but the health improvements, energy boost, and coat shine make it worthwhile. For indoor or senior cats needing kidney-friendly nutrition, this formula seems ideal.
11/13/2025 at 9:07 am in reply to: My Thoughts on Lotus Cat Food Reviews: After Feeding It to Our Cats #3854CatDishDaily
ParticipantI love that Lotus cat food is baked instead of extruded like most dry foods. The oven-baked duck recipe grain-free dry cat food smells natural, and my cats love the crunch. I also feed the Lotus Just Juicy Venison Stew canned food as dinner. I’ve been avoiding brands like Kirkland Signature and Pure Cravings lately because I wanted something more artisanal. I just wish it was easier to find where to buy Lotus cat food locally seems like only specialty pet stores carry it.

ParticipantThe Costco bulk purchasing model makes wet food more affordable theoretically. If quality matches their dry food reputation and cats actually eat it consistently, could make daily wet feeding possible at budget-friendly price. Need verification that palatability matches value pricing before committing to bulk cases though.
10/26/2025 at 8:20 am in reply to: Nacho Cat Food Reviews: Fancy Celebrity Brand or Worth the Bowl? #1562CatDishDaily
ParticipantBeen feeding Nacho for about five months after discovering it at my neighborhood pet shop. My cat adapted to it easily and maintains good health on it. The limited ingredient approach works well for his sensitive system. Digestion stays consistent, coat looks healthy, and he eats it readily. Small batch production means fresher food in my experience. Pricing runs around $3 per pound which seems fair for the quality. Not widely available but worth seeking out if you find it locally. Solid option from smaller producer.
10/23/2025 at 2:34 pm in reply to: Royal Canin Cat Food Reviews: Is It Really Vet Recommended? #1438CatDishDaily
ParticipantThree years feeding Royal Canin and my perspective has completely changed from when I started. Initially I was skeptical about the ingredient lists and annoyed that it didn’t have the “premium” ingredients I thought mattered. But my cat has been consistently healthy with perfect vet checkups every time. Her digestion is excellent, weight is stable, coat looks good, and she has appropriate energy for her age. I’ve learned that nutrition science is more complex than reading ingredient labels.
The research behind these formulas is legitimate even if it doesn’t match popular trends in pet food marketing. My cat’s health outcomes speak for themselves. For pets with medical conditions, Royal Canin prescription diets have proven track records that boutique brands can’t match.
Yes, the cost is higher than grocery store brands but comparable to other vet-recommended options. Whether you need prescription or regular formulas, the science-based approach works. Sometimes trusting veterinary nutritionists makes more sense than trusting internet opinions about ingredients. Results matter most.
10/22/2025 at 4:58 pm in reply to: My Honest Review: What I Learned Feeding My Cat Applaws Cat Food? #1425CatDishDaily
ParticipantAPPLAWS IS INCREDIBLE!! 🙌 We switched to their tuna with seaweed formula 6 months ago and my cat is OBSESSED. You open the can and it literally looks like tuna YOU would eat actual flakes of fish in natural broth. No jelly, no gravy, just pure fish and broth. My cat’s coat has never been shinier and her energy is amazing.
The 75% meat content is real you can see it with your own eyes. Yes it’s pricey at about $2.50 per can but the quality is restaurant level. She licks the bowl completely clean every single time and meows for more. Plus the UK quality standards give me confidence in what I’m feeding. 💚✨
