What surprised me most about shameless pets crunchy cat treats catnip n chill was that even my second cat, who hates crunchy anything, accepted them. The scent is appealing but not intense. I’ve had Nature’s Domain treats crumble instantly, but these held up well. Definitely a “sometimes treat,” but calmly fun.

Nature’s Logic wet cat food is fantastic. I rotate beef canned food, rabbit canned food, and duck & salmon formulas. My cats love it and finish every bowl. Compared to Kirkland Signature or Blue Buffalo, Nature’s Logic feels higher quality. Portioning is simple, digestion is smooth, and energy levels are good. Coats look shiny and healthy. I buy at PetSmart or online stores. Definitely a natural, nutritious, and premium option for cats who prefer wet and dry meals.

I gave my indoor cat Merrick Backcountry Raw-Infused Dry Cat Food in rabbit flavor. She’s usually picky with dry food, but she eats this one eagerly. I also tried the grain-free wet pouches and she enjoys those too. Compared to Nutra Nuggets and Pure Cravings, she prefers Backcountry. Her coat looks shinier, energy is up, and digestion is normal. I also tried the freeze-dried chicken mixer on top, which she loves. I’ve seen some chatter about possible shortages, but Chewy and PetSmart both have it in stock.

I recently switched my senior cat to Farmina Vet Life Renal, and the difference is noticeable. He’s eating more eagerly, digestion is smoother, and he seems more energetic. I mix in a little Farmina N&D dry for variety, and it’s worked well. Compared to other wet foods like Kirkland or Nutra Nuggets, the ingredients feel cleaner and more natural. The grain-free options are great for sensitive stomachs, and portioning is easy once you figure out the right amount. It’s definitely made mealtime more enjoyable for both of us.

Nearly three years feeding Kirkland Signature and it’s been absolutely fantastic. My cats are healthier now than on expensive boutique brands I tried previously. Beautiful coats, perfect energy, ideal weight, excellent digestion – everything you want. The vet always comments on how great they look.

Saving $50+ monthly compared to premium brands means that money goes to vet savings funds and better toys. The massive bags require storage planning but last almost two months for my two cats. Costco membership pays for itself through cat food savings alone in our household. Not every cat needs $5/pound food if quality affordable options meet their needs perfectly.

Kirkland proves that store brands from reputable retailers can match or exceed expensive alternatives. The Diamond manufacturing provides established production standards. For anyone with Costco access, try Kirkland before spending double on premium brands – your cat’s health and your budget will both benefit. Best value decision in cat care I’ve ever made!

    PRACTICAL CONCERNS:

    Advantages of small brands:

    Sometimes higher quality attention
    Supporting small business
    Potential better ingredients for price

    Disadvantages of obscure brands:

    No track record available
    Limited reviews for guidance
    Supply availability uncertain
    No customer service infrastructure
    Unknown manufacturing standards

Reality: Without information, you’re essentially beta testing for brand. Works if you’re comfortable with uncertainty but risky if you prefer proven reliability
