Hartz Delectables soft pate tuna & chicken cat treats are excellent for cats that are finicky with textures. My older cat normally ignores wet food but licked every drop from the tube. I alternate with Kirkland Signature dry and Pure Cravings wet food to maintain a balanced diet. The squeeze-up tubes make serving simple and reduce mess. I’ve tried bisque and stew variations too, but she clearly prefers the soft pate style. Portioning is easy, storage is simple, and it doubles as a pill carrier. Very convenient for busy pet parents.

My cats didn’t react much at first to 9 lives cat treats, but eventually they warmed up to the chicken flavor. They eat Nature’s Domain wet food most days, so treats are just little extras. I remember seeing people mention older 9 lives soft treats for cats recall alerts, so I always check dates before buying. Mine haven’t had any stomach problems so far. I’m not expecting premium qualityjust something they enjoy now and then. If anyone’s worried about whether 9Lives cat treats are healthy for cats, I think occasional use is totally fine.

My older cat was struggling with digestion, so I tried Natural Balance duck and green pea cat food dry and Natural Balance wet cat food salmon. Bowls are consistently empty, and soft stools are gone. He seems more energetic and comfortable. Previously, Kirkland Signature upset his stomach occasionally. PetSmart and Chewy carry both wet and dry options. The limited ingredient diet really seems to target sensitive stomachs without compromising taste. I’ve been impressed with how well he adjusted, and I’m considering keeping him on Natural Balance long-term.

So I found out Sheba cat food is made by Mars Petcare same company that owns Royal Canin and Iams. That actually gave me some confidence in quality control. My cat has been on Sheba Perfect Portions for over a year, mostly the chicken in gravy. No stomach issues, and her fur is noticeably softer. I did read about some Sheba cat food recalls years ago, but nothing recent. As long as she keeps purring and finishing every meal, I’m sticking with it.

I tried the Kirkland chunks in gravy cat food and sadly, it didn’t go well. My cats sniffed it and walked away. The texture seemed a bit off, like too much gravy and not enough meat chunks. The smell was stronger than I expected too. I really wanted to like it because the price is great, but nope total miss here. I think the pate line is better, but the chunks in gravy just didn’t work for my picky duo. 😿
