Vital Essentials ahi tuna freeze-dried cat treats were the least smelly of the line, which shocked me. My cat likes them but not with the same wild devotion he gives the minnows. The tuna cubes crumble easily, so I sprinkle some over Kirkland Signature wet food. They definitely feel cleaner ingredient-wise than most supermarket treats. I did check store availability because vital essentials cat freeze-dried treats stores sometimes run out randomly. If your cat likes fish flavor but hates super strong odor, the tuna might be the safest entry point.

Temptations cat treats Christmas and holiday editions are adorable and the cats go nuts. I also rotate in Temptations soft cat treats and Temptations creamy puree lickable cat treats. My cats eat Nature’s Domain wet food or Kirkland Signature dry food, so treats are just bonuses. I love using Temptations cat treat dispensersit makes them work for their treats. I checked Temptations cat treats recall info, and nothing concerning came up. No tummy problems. Snack time has become an interactive bonding moment. Affordable, widely available, and they love every flavor.

I’ve been feeding Taste of the Wild Canyon River cat food dry and mixing in Blue Buffalo Tastefuls wet cat food for a few months. Both cats are more energetic and playful. Their coats have improved, and digestion issues that popped up with Kirkland dry food have decreased. Tastefuls seems perfect for sensitive stomachs, while Taste of the Wild feels like a high-quality, protein-rich staple. I prefer buying from Chewy for convenience, but Tractor Supply sometimes has better deals on the larger dry bags. Overall, they finish meals enthusiastically.

ZIWI PEAK VS ORIJEN (Ultra-Premium Comparison)

    Both ultra-premium with high meat:

    Ziwi Peak advantages:

    HIGHEST meat content (96%)
    Air-dried preservation method
    New Zealand ethical sourcing
    Ultimate ingredient quality
    Best if budget unlimited

    Orijen advantages:

MORE affordable ($1-2 less per pound)
    Fresh regional ingredients
    Excellent quality still
    Better availability
    Delivers 90% of results

My take: Both are exceptional quality. Ziwi Peak is absolute ultimate if money is no object. Orijen delivers outstanding nutrition at more manageable price. I feed Ziwi Peak but acknowledge Orijen provides excellent results at lower cost.

The massive variety is genuinely impressive dozens of flavors across pate, flaked, grilled, chunky, and other textures. Classic, Elegant Medleys, Creamy Delights, Broths endless options. Rotating daily prevents boredom and maintains eating enthusiasm. My picky cat stays interested because meals are never repetitive.
