My cats treat Simply Puree cat treats like premium dessert. The 48 count made sense because each tube disappears in seconds. Wild Eats Simply Puree cat treats gave us extra fun flavor days, and I think variety made them even more enthusiastic. I sometimes use these treats when transitioning between Pure Cravings and Nutra Nuggets, and meal changes go smoother. Soft, creamy, and polite-cat approvedfinally something that satisfies both texture lovers and picky eaters.

I feed my kittens The Honest Kitchen Grace dehydrated cat food. 😻 Ingredients in The Honest Kitchen cat food are digestible and human-grade. I mix in The Honest Kitchen minced cat food sometimes for variety. Petco and Honest Kitchen Canada are my main sources. Carb content is lower than Kirkland Signature, helping with indoor kittens’ weight and energy. Coats are shinier, stools firmer, and digestion is improved. Sample packs are perfect for trying different flavors. Overall, my kittens enjoy the dehydrated formulas more than standard dry kibble, and I can see clear health improvements.

I recently tried the Lotus raw cat food frozen rabbit formula, and it’s been fantastic. My cat’s stools are smaller, and his coat feels silkier. I like that Lotus frozen raw cat food uses human grade meats and veggies. It’s more natural than most brands, including Kirkland and Nutra Nuggets. I’m thinking about combining it with the canned version for variety. The only downside is the cost and the fact it’s hard to find Lotus cat food near me, but online prices help.

Kirkland wet food occasionally appears in Costco sales though discounts are modest. Their standard pricing already represents excellent value. Buying during rare promotions provides minimal additional savings but every bit helps.

NACHO VS FROMM (both smaller producer comparison)

    Comparing boutique brands:

    Nacho characteristics:

    Very small batch production
    Limited distribution
    Simple ingredient lists
    Fresh focus
    Local/regional availability

    Fromm characteristics:

Larger small company (if that makes sense)
    Wider national distribution
    More formula variety
    Established reputation
    Family-owned history

My view: Both represent alternatives to corporate mega-brands. Fromm offers more accessibility and options. Nacho provides ultra-small batch freshness. Both deliver quality. Choice depends whether you prioritize maximum freshness (Nacho) or wider availability (Fromm).

    COST REALITY CHECK:

Royal Canin (regular): $2.20-$2.80 per pound
Royal Canin (prescription): $3.50-$4.50 per pound
Hill’s Science Diet: $2.50-$3.20 per pound
Purina Pro Plan: $2.00-$2.60 per pound
    Blue Buffalo: $2.50-$3.00 per pound

The regular Royal Canin formulas are actually mid-range pricing, comparable to other vet recommended brands. Prescription formulas cost more but you’re paying for specific therapeutic benefits. If your cat needs the prescription diet, the cost is justified compared to ongoing vet bills. For healthy cats, the regular line is reasonably priced for what you get.

HYDRATION BOOST!! 💧 My cat had chronic mild dehydration issues and barely touched her water bowl! The vet was always concerned about her kidney health because of it. Since adding Applaws to her diet (the natural broth is irresistible to her), her hydration markers are perfect.

She eagerly drinks all the broth from every can which significantly boosts her daily water intake. Her urinary health has been flawless since the switch and vet is no longer worried. Sometimes cats just prefer getting moisture from food rather than a bowl. 😻✨
