The Vital Essentials turkey nibs were hit-or-miss depending on mood. Some days she eats them like treasure, other days she ignores them for Pure Cravings chicken mousse. They don’t crumble as much as salmon cubes which I appreciate. I saw chatter about vital essentials cat treats bird flu, but my vet reassured me it was isolated and resolved. I still store my bags carefully and use within a few weeks. If your cat is fish-driven, turkey might feel boring, but great for rotation.

Dentalife cat treats are a huge hit in my house. I also rotate in Greenies feline dental treats for cats to give some variety. My cats eat Pure Cravings wet food or Nutra Nuggets dry food, so treats are a fun bonus. I love using dental treat toysthey slow down snack time and give mental stimulation. I checked vetrecommended cat dental treats, and nothing concerning came up. No digestive issues so far. Their teeth look cleaner, and snack time is fun. Affordable, tasty, and effective enough to support oral health between brushing sessions.

My cats have been on Rawz cat food chicken & turkey wet and Rawz dry cat food for a month. Bowls are always empty, and they seem more active than on Kirkland or Nature’s Domain. Coats are shinier and litter box issues have decreased. Chewy is my main source, though Amazon sometimes has good deals on dry food. My senior cat benefits from the digestive support line smoother digestion and better appetite. Protein is higher than many other premium foods, and overall, I feel like my cats are healthier and happier with Rawz.

We switched to Simply Nourish Dry Cat Food for our adult indoor cat, and it’s been a big improvement. Digestion is smoother, appetite is better, and hairballs are down. Compared to Kirkland Signature, Pure Cravings, or Nature’s Domain, the ingredient quality feels higher and more thoughtful. I mix in wet food occasionally, and she gets excited at every meal. Even my senior cat enjoys the grain free formula. Energy levels are up, coats are shiny, and litter box odor is controlled. Definitely a solid choice for sensitive or picky cats.

IAMS PROACTIVE HEALTH VS PURINA ONE (Similar Positioning)

    Both established affordable mid-range brands:

    Iams ProActive Health advantages:

    Longer independent brand history originally
    Excellent availability everywhere
    Proven decades-long track record
    Consistent reliable formulations
    Straightforward no-nonsense approach

    Purina One advantages:

    SmartBlend technology additions
    Stronger Purina research backing
    More formula variety available
    Often better sales/promotions
    More contemporary marketing

My take: Both deliver adequate reliable nutrition at affordable prices with major company backing. Iams for proven historical longevity and simplicity. Purina One for research emphasis and variety. Either works well for healthy cats on reasonable budgets. Choose based on availability preferences and which cat accepts better.

    Formula variety available:

    Chicken varieties: Multiple chicken options
    Salmon recipes: Fish-based proteins
    Indoor formula: Lower calorie
    Grain-free options: Multiple proteins
    Kitten formula: Growth stage

Adequate selection for budget line. Covers basic needs without overwhelming variety. I use chicken primarily with occasional salmon rotation.
