ParticipantMy cats love the Redford Naturals freeze-dried grain-free duck recipe cat food. Ingredients in Redford Naturals cat food seem really clean, high-protein, and digestible. Hairball and digestion improvements are noticeable compared to previous brands. I mix in Pure Cravings wet cat food occasionally. Amazon and Chewy are my sources, sometimes with coupons. Price is higher than Kirkland Signature, but the excitement at meal time and coat improvements make it feel worth it. Definitely a premium option that actually delivers on taste and nutrition.

ParticipantI recently switched my kittens to Blackwood cat food kitten formula and Bounty canned options. They love the chicken meal & rice recipes. Ingredients in Blackwood cat food seem clean and digestible. Hairball control has improved slightly, and their coats are shinier. I mix in Nutra Nuggets dry cat food for variety. Amazon and Shopee Malaysia have been my go-to sources. Price is higher than standard brands, but my kittens’ energy, appetite, and coat improvements make it feel worth it. Blackwood seems like a solid premium option alongside brands like Nature’s Domain or Pure Cravings.

ParticipantWe tried the Against the Grain Mango Tango cat food, and even my fussy senior cat couldn’t resist it. It’s rich but not greasy, and I like that it’s made in the USA. I compared ingredients with Pure Cravings both are good, but this one’s texture wins. It feels fresher. I usually get it from Petco, but if you’re looking for bulk deals, Chewy has better pricing. If anyone’s wondering where to buy Against the Grain cat food, those two are your best bet.

ParticipantBeen feeding Made By Nacho for about nine months and genuinely impressed despite initial celebrity skepticism. My cat maintains beautiful coat, excellent digestion, perfect energy levels. The ingredient lists are impressively clean with real meat first and quality components throughout. Costs around $2.90 per pound which is reasonable for premium natural positioning. She’s enthusiastic about meals and vet checkups consistently show healthy results. Sometimes celebrity brands actually deliver substance when creators genuinely care about pet nutrition. Bobby Flay clearly invested in real quality not just slapping his name on generic food. My cat is thriving on it.

ParticipantAvailability varies by region. More common in independent pet stores than big chains in my area. Sometimes harder to find than Blue Buffalo or Wellness which are everywhere. Worth calling stores ahead to confirm they stock it. Ordering online through Chewy works reliably if local availability is limited.

ParticipantORIJEN VS ACANA (same company comparison):
Both made by Champion Petfoods, here’s the difference:
Orijen wins for:
HIGHER meat content (85-90% vs 75%)
More protein per serving
Premium “flagship” formulation
Better for very active cats
Ultimate nutrition if budget allowsAcana wins for:
More affordable ($1+ less per pound)
Still excellent quality
Good for less active cats
Easier on the wallet long-term
Great “step-down” if Orijen too priceyMy verdict: Orijen is the ULTIMATE but Acana is fantastic “almost-Orijen” Both are top-tier. I feed Orijen because my cat is young and active, but I’d happily feed Acana if budget was tighter. Same company, same quality standards, just slightly different formulations. 💚🐾
