The Thrive freeze-dried cat treats range is so versatile. I crumble some over Nature’s Domain wet food, and she practically inhales the meal. The shrimp flavor is her favorite so far, and the Maxitube 200g pack keeps them fresh for training sessions. The freeze-dried texture is fun for her to chew, unlike softer treats she sometimes ignores. I love that these treats are grain-free and protein-rich. Even Kirkland Signature salmon bites can’t compete in excitement. Highly recommend for cats with picky palates or sensitive tummies.

I’ve been feeding my cats Almo Nature wet cat food lately, mostly the tuna and chicken cans, and they’re obsessed with the texture. The HFC line feels super clean compared to Nature’s Domain or Nutra Nuggets, and the ingredient lists are so simple. I checked the phosphorus content because my older cat needs lower levels, and it looked pretty reasonable. I grab mine on Amazon and sometimes at a shop near me. No tummy issues so far, and they always finish every meal. Honestly, Almo Nature feels like a solid choice, especially for high-moisture eaters.

My older boy used the Hi Tor Triumph kidney formula for a few months, and it worked okay, but the texture was super mushy compared to the regular Triumph turkey canned cat food. I never had issues with recalls personally, though I know there were rumors about quality control. The iron levels seemed fine after I compared them to Nutra Nuggets and Nature’s Domain. I agree the 13.2 oz cans are nowhere lately, and Petco staff gave me a blank look when I asked 😭. If your cat likes the Triumph wet food, that’s already a win.

I’ve been feeding my indoor cats Royal Canin Indoor Adult Dry Cat Food for a few months, and I’ve noticed a huge difference. My cats’ coats are shinier, digestion is smoother, and hairballs are much less frequent. Compared to other brands like Kirkland or Nature’s Domain, the ingredients feel more balanced for overall health. I also mix in a little wet Royal Canin for hydration, and both cats love it. Portioning is simple, and I feel confident knowing it’s made with vet-backed nutrition. Definitely a step up from regular grocery store foods.

    TEMPTATIONS VS GREENIES (Treat Comparison)

Both popular cat treats with different focuses:

    Temptations advantages:

    More affordable pricing
    Wider flavor variety
    Higher palatability (cats obsessed)
    Better for training rewards
    Irresistible to most cats

    Greenies advantages:

    Dental health benefits
    Functional treat purpose
    Better nutritional profile
    Less addictive response
    VOHC dental seal

My take: Greenies for daily dental treats serving health purpose. Temptations for occasional high-value rewards and training. Both have roles but Temptations are pure palatability while Greenies provide function.

The affordability makes Fancy Feast appealing for tight budgets or multi-cat households. Purina backing provides manufacturing standards and consistency. Not premium ingredients but formulations meet basic nutritional requirements. Considering switching from expensive boutique brand that might be more marketing than substance. Sometimes affordable options work adequately without premium cost.
