ParticipantTried Harringtons wet cat food in jelly, and my cat was all over it. I usually give Pure Cravings wet meals, but she responded really well to this brand. The jelly texture is fun for her to lick, and portion pouches are easy to store. I’ve also added some Harringtons dry cat food chicken as a kibble topper, which keeps her interested in meals. I wouldn’t call it gourmet, but it’s reliable, natural, and convenient. Great for indoor cats or those with mild picky tendencies.

ParticipantThe Almo Nature cat food pouches are super convenient when I’m traveling. My cats love the tuna ones the most. Compared to Nutra Nuggets or Nature’s Domain, these feel more like shredded real food. I checked ingredients for the dry cat food too, and it wasn’t bad at all. I’ve also seen people ask how to read expiration dates on these pouches it’s printed European-style, so day/month/year. I grab them on Amazon because stock near me is hit-or-miss.

ParticipantI’ve used Annamaet cat food for about a year, mainly the grain free chicken & fish formula. My picky girl also liked the round kibble right away, which shocked me because she usually turns her nose up at new dry foods. Digestion-wise, it’s been smooth. Her coat looks shinier too, so I feel good about sticking with it. I’ve bought it from Amazon and never had delivery issues. I haven’t seen serious Annamaet cat food recalls either. If you compare it to brands like Pure Cravings or Nature’s Domain, it definitely feels more premium.

ParticipantI’ve been using Wellness Complete Health Wet Cat Food for my senior cat, and it’s made a difference. Appetite has improved, and digestion is easier than with Nutra Nuggets or Pure Cravings. The salmon and chicken flavors are both favorites, and I mix in a bit of dry Wellness for texture. Hairballs are less frequent, and litter box odors are reduced. Even my picky eater seems excited for meal times. I feel confident feeding something nutritious and balanced. Definitely a good choice for cats who need premium, healthy options.

ParticipantSPECIAL KITTY REALITY – Two Years of Budget Feeding
My experience with cheapest option:
Months 1-3: Lost job and switched to Special Kitty from financial necessity. My cat Max transitioned without refusing food. Weight stayed stable. Nothing impressive but he kept eating.
Months 4-6: His coat seemed duller than before but not alarmingly so. Energy acceptable though not high. Digestion worked fine. He wasn’t suffering but not thriving either.
Months 7-12: First vet checkup on Special Kitty showed adequate bloodwork though not perfect. Vet noted he could benefit from better food but no immediate health crisis. Weight remained stable throughout year.
Months 13-18: Found better job, could afford upgrade. Switched to Purina One. Within month his coat improved noticeably. Energy increased. Clear difference in vitality.
Months 19-24: Reflecting back, Special Kitty kept him alive during financial crisis but upgrade showed what he’d been missing. Health markers improved on better food.
Assessment: Special Kitty served desperate purpose – keeping him fed when broke. Not recommending unless financially necessary. Upgrade when possible but grateful it existed during crisis.
