ParticipantI tried the Simply Puree cat treats 48 count because I figured bulk was safer than running out mid-week, and honestly, best decision ever. My youngest kitten loves the texture and will sit politely waiting for her turn while I squeeze it slowly. I also pair a bit with Nature’s Domain wet food just to boost flavor on days she’s bored. The Wild Eats Simply Puree cat treats are great too, especially if you like rotating flavors instead of sticking to one.

ParticipantI recently switched my indoor cats to The Honest Kitchen Grace dehydrated cat food. 😺 They love it, and I’ve noticed softer stools and less hairballs. Ingredients in The Honest Kitchen cat food are human-grade, which really gives me peace of mind. I rotate it with Nutra Nuggets dry food for crunch. I mostly buy it online in Canada, sometimes at Petco, and smaller sample packs are great for testing picky eaters. The carb content seems lower than traditional dry foods like Kirkland Signature, and my cats’ coats are definitely shinier after a few weeks.

ParticipantI recently switched my cats to Health Extension dry cat food, mainly the chicken & brown rice recipe. Bowls are always empty! 😺 Ingredients in Health Extension cat food seem really clean high-quality protein with limited fillers. I’ve noticed improved coat shine and digestion compared to grocery brands. I sometimes rotate with Pure Cravings or Nature’s Domain wet cat food for hydration. Amazon and Chewy are my usual sources for Health Extension cat food, sometimes with coupons. Price is higher than Kirkland Signature, but the energy, coat, and digestion improvements make it feel worth it.

ParticipantI started my cats on Lotus Just Juicy Chicken Stew a few months back, and honestly, I’ve seen a noticeable difference in their coats so shiny and smooth! I like that Lotus cat food is oven-baked and made in small batches. My picky girl also loves the Lotus Rabbit Pâté, which is rare because she turns her nose up at most wet cat food. I order it from Chewy since finding Lotus cat food near me is tough. It’s pricey but feels worth it compared to Kirkland Signature or Nutra Nuggets.

ParticipantFrom nutritional standpoint, freeze-dried raw does preserve more nutrients than heavily processed kibble. Dr. Marty formulas contain quality ingredients with appropriate protein levels. The preparation method maintains nutritional integrity better than high-heat processing.
However, many freeze-dried raw brands offer similar quality at lower prices. The premium Dr. Marty charges seems related more to marketing expenses and veterinarian branding than necessarily superior formulation. Adequate freeze-dried options exist without the extreme cost if you want that food style.

ParticipantVeterinary tech perspective. 👩⚕️ Blue Buffalo is a solid mid-to-premium brand. The LifeSource Bits contain cold-formed nutrients (vitamins, minerals, antioxidants) that aren’t destroyed by cooking process. It’s actually clever nutrition science, not just marketing! Their formulas have good protein levels, quality ingredients, and meet AAFCO standards. The different lines (Wilderness, Freedom, Basics, etc.) offer options for various needs. Reputable brand with good quality control. 💙✨
