Tiki cat treats have been a gamechanger for my picky eater. I love the tiki cat mousse treats and the stix mousse cat treats. My cats go crazy for the tiki cat stix tuna mousse cat treats, and the soft & chewy chicken recipe grainfree cat treats are also a favorite. I sprinkle some over Kirkland Signature or Pure Cravings wet food, and they gobble it up. Even the tiki cat tummy topper pumpkin & wheatgrass cat treat gets excited sniffs. I feel confident giving tiki cat treats because they’re wholesome, flavorful, and cats genuinely love them.

In my experience, Evolve cat food is one of those middle-tier foods that surprises you sometimes. The Evolve salmon cat food worked amazingly for my longhair less shedding and nicer coat. The canned cat food chicken was also loved. Compared to Nutra Nuggets and Nature’s Domain, Evolve seems slightly better in wet food and about equal in dry. I used to see it at Walmart all the time, but now I only find it at HEB or Publix. Price varies a lot too, which is annoying when budgeting for cats.

I was skeptical at first, but NutriSource wet cat food surprised me. My senior cat, Oreo, is super picky and has a sensitive tummy. The NutriSource Ocean Select blend worked wonders. I’ve tried Nutra Nuggets before, but Oreo didn’t digest it well. NutriSource seems to sit better with him, and the cans don’t have that weird smell some foods have.

9 LIVES VS FRISKIES (Bottom-Tier Comparison)

    Both extreme budget options:

    9 Lives advantages:

    Slightly larger cans sometimes
    Long established history
    Universal availability
    Recognized brand name
    Proven survival nutrition

    Friskies advantages:

    Massive flavor variety
    Purina backing
    Better marketing
    More texture options
    Slightly better reputation

Reality: Both are bottom-tier survival nutrition. Choose whichever is cheaper at your store. Neither optimal but both keep cats alive when poverty is real. No judgment either way.

KOHA EXPERIENCE: March 2025 to August 2025 📅

Let me share my complete Koha journey:

March (Weeks 1-2): Found Koha at specialty pet store. Started with chicken pate (only 4 ingredients!). Mixed with old food. My cat Simba was interested immediately! No digestive issues.

March (Weeks 3-4): Increased to 75% Koha. His chronic soft stool issues started improving! First time in months he had consistent firm poops. The minimal ingredients were clearly helping.

April: Full switch to Koha! Tried the turkey formula – he loved it! His coat started getting noticeably softer and shinier! His constant scratching (food allergy symptom) reduced significantly.

May: Branched out to novel proteins tried kangaroo and rabbit. Both huge hits! His skin issues completely cleared up. No more scratching or hot spots. Vet was amazed.

June: Vet checkup confirmed food allergies were under control. His weight was perfect, coat gorgeous, everything excellent! Vet fully supported Koha.

July-August: Six months in and thriving! Rotating between chicken, turkey, kangaroo, and rabbit for variety! His health is better than ever! No more allergy symptoms.

Monthly cost: About $70-80 for one cat. Worth it for allergy control. 💪💚
