If there was an award for “most dramatic reaction to treat time,” my cat would win it thanks to creamy lickable cat treats. I only have to pick up a tube and she starts chirping. I’ve tested the creamy lickable cat treats mega mix, and surprisingly scallop flavor is top-tier according to her royal highness. I mix a tiny bit with Nature’s Domain beef cans for moisture and she never leaves a crumb. It’s weirdly satisfying to watch her lick so intensely she forgets the world exists.

I’ve been feeding my cats Vital Essentials freeze-dried raw cat food chicken mini nibs, turkey mini patties, and rabbit chubs. They absolutely love it! I also tried frozen raw options. Compared to Pure Cravings or Nature’s Domain, it feels more natural and nutrient-dense. I checked Vital Essentials cat food reviews and ingredients online everything looks high-quality. Coats are shinier, digestion is smooth, and cats are more playful. Online ordering is convenient, and some local pet stores stock it. Definitely a high-quality raw and freeze-dried option that my cats really enjoy.

I recently had a kitten who just had kittens herself, and the best food for cat who just had kittens is definitely Just Food for Cats. I tried mixing in dry food, but she goes straight for the wet recipes. DIY meals make it easy to adjust for extra calories. I’ve compared ingredients with Pure Cravings and Nutra Nuggets, and Just Food for Cats feels cleaner and simpler. The feeding guide makes portioning easy. Petco stocked it, and I also found a local specialty store nearby. My kittens are thriving, and the mom is happy.

Redbarn Cat Food honestly feels like a hidden gem. I used to spend so much money on “premium” brands that didn’t even sit well with my cats. Then a friend recommended Redbarn Naturals Cat Food, and it’s been smooth sailing since. I’ve noticed less shedding and better stool consistency. I rotate between the Chicken and Lamb recipes, and they both work great. I also like that there haven’t been any Redbarn Cat Food Recalls that’s rare these days!

    Formula variety available:

    Grain-free varieties: Multiple proteins
    Natural with grains: Traditional options
    Indoor formula: Lower calorie
    Chicken and salmon: Primary proteins
    Kitten options: Growth stage

Adequate selection for natural line from major retailer. Covers basic needs without overwhelming variety. I use grain free chicken primarily with occasional salmon rotation.

    Available options at Costco:

Kirkland dry food: Large bags, various formulas
    Kirkland canned: Wet food options
Name brands: Also available in bulk
    Seasonal varieties: Rotating options

Selection is limited compared to specialty pet stores but covers basic needs. I primarily use Kirkland dry with occasional canned for variety. Both maintain acceptable quality.
