I’ve been feeding my cats royal canin cat treats gastrointestinal and hydrolyzed protein, and they love them. My senior cat eats the renal line happily with her Kirkland Signature wet food, and my sensitive cat enjoys hydrolyzed protein treats. Pill Assist cat treats make medication easy. Dehydrated rabbit treats are fun as an occasional snack, and the satiety treats are helpful for portion control. I also sprinkle a few urinary feline cat treats on Pure Cravings tuna pouches, and both cats go wild. They’re healthy, flavorful, and supportive.

I’m actually on my third bag of Grandma Mae’s Country Naturals grain free cat food, and my long-haired boy has shown a big improvement in coat softness. I used to feed him Nature’s Domain salmon, which was fine, but he got bored of it quickly. The Grandma Mae’s salmon formula seems tastier to him. I also tried their canned chicken pâté, and he licked the bowl clean. I appreciate brands that keep the ingredients simple. The 4 lbs bag is perfect if you want to rotate between flavors without committing to a huge bag.

My cat used to get really picky, especially with dry food. I tried Earthborn Holistic Feline Vantage after seeing it at PetSmart, and surprisingly, he ate it without hesitation. The kibble size is perfect. I sometimes add a spoon of Chicken Catcciatori pouch food to make it extra tasty. I feel like it’s helped his digestion too. He’s not bloated anymore. I had tried Nutra Nuggets before, but this one clearly wins in terms of freshness and smell.

For people wanting to support smaller independent natural brands, I and Love and You provides that opportunity if available locally. Purchasing from smaller operations means business genuinely matters to their success. Different dynamic than buying from massive corporations.

WARNING: Check the batch dates! I bought a case from an online retailer and several cans were already past their best-by date. The food had separated and smelled off. My cat refused to eat it (smart girl). Always buy from reputable sellers and check those dates. When it’s fresh, Weruva is fantastic. When it’s old, it’s definitely not worth feeding. Learned this lesson the hard way. Now I only buy from Chewy or Petco where I know the turnover is high.
