ParticipantThe Hartz Delectables senior squeeze-up chicken lickable cat treat is a lifesaver. My older cat has lost interest in most wet foods, but she finishes these every time. Texture is soft enough for gentle chewing and licking, making it easier on her teeth. I supplement with Kirkland Signature dry and Nutra Nuggets wet to maintain nutrition, but these tubes are her high-value treat. They’re also great for hiding meds or mixing with gravy. I’ve read some chatter about Hartz cat treats recall, but my batch was fine and she had no adverse reactions.

ParticipantWhimzees cat dental treats are fantastic for my kitties. I also rotate in Greenies cat dental treats and Emerald Pet cat dental treats. They eat Pure Cravings wet food or Nutra Nuggets dry food. Dental treats help with tartar, fresh breath, and gingivitis prevention. I checked vetrecommended cat dental treats info, and everything is safe. Snack time is interactive, and no tummy issues so far. Affordable, tasty, and effective, these treats feel like the best dental care option for daily use. My cats are always excited to get them.

ParticipantI feed my indoor cat Natural Balance limited ingredient duck cat food dry and some Natural Balance wet food cat salmon. Soft stools are gone, and vomiting has stopped. Previously, I tried Kirkland Signature and Nutra Nuggets, but she wouldn’t eat consistently. Petco carries a good range, and Chewy makes it easy to subscribe for delivery. I like that the limited ingredient diet targets sensitive stomachs without being too expensive. She actually enjoys the taste, which is a huge plus since picky eaters can be tricky.

ParticipantThe Sheba Perfect Portions pate cat food trays are perfect for my kitten. She’s so tiny that one tray is just enough. I tried Instinct limited ingredient turkey once, but she didn’t like it. Sheba’s texture is softer and smells fresher. The salmon variety seems to make her fur glow. I don’t think Sheba makes any dry food, but honestly, I prefer sticking to wet better for hydration. I wish they had more variety packs with rabbit or duck flavors like Nature’s Variety Instinct.

ParticipantI’ll be honest, Meow Mix dry cat food gets a bad rap sometimes, but it saved me during tough times. When I couldn’t afford premium brands like Nature’s Domain, this was my go to. My cats didn’t seem to mind the switch at all. I occasionally add wet food like Pure Cravings or Nutra Nuggets to boost protein. The Meow Mix Tender Centers version smells fresh and keeps them full longer than I expected. Overall, not gourmet, but good value.
11/04/2025 at 12:09 pm in reply to: My Experience Switching to Kirkland Wet Cat Food: Honest Review #2984PurrChowBox
ParticipantI tried the Kirkland pate cat food for my picky eater. The texture was super soft, maybe a bit too mushy for her taste. She ate it at first but lost interest after a few cans. I like the price and the simple ingredient list, though. The smell isn’t bad, just mild compared to other brands. I think I’ll try the Kirkland chunks cat food next to see if she prefers something with more bite. It’s not terrible, just hit or miss depending on the cat.
