I don’t normally go for freeze-dried anything, but the Vital Essentials ahi tuna freeze-dried cat treats smelled like actual fish instead of fish-flavored dust. My cat didn’t lose his mind like with minnows but still enjoyed them. Pure Cravings salmon is still his comfort meal though. I checked vital essentials cat treats recall lists before feeding because my anxiety needs spreadsheets. Thankfully, no match. For cats who get overwhelmed by extreme crunch, tuna cubes are gentler. For humans who get overwhelmed by fish eyeballs, also gentler.
