I didn’t expect my cats to love Simply Puree cat treats this much, but now they sit and wait patiently every evening like tiny polite royalty. I also grabbed the Wild Eats Simply Puree variety pack to prevent burnout on one flavor. Both brands delivered smooth textures that mix well with Nature’s Domain wet food when needed. Great for cats who prefer licking over chewing, especially seniors. And not a single upset stomachhuge win.

I feed my indoor senior cat Health Extension low phosphorus dry cat food. Ingredients in Health Extension cat food are gentle and high-protein. Digestion is smoother, hairballs have reduced, and coat looks shinier. I rotate wet options like Holistic Health Extension canned beef or turkey. Amazon and Petco are my usual sources, sometimes with coupons. Price is higher than Nutra Nuggets, but health improvements make it worthwhile. Perfect for indoor or senior cats needing kidney-friendly nutrition. Holistic Health Extension wet cat food also pairs nicely for hydration and taste variety.

Lotus canned cat food has been a big win for my two picky eaters. They both adore the Just Juicy Venison Stew and the Turkey recipe. I like that it’s grain free and that the texture looks like real shredded meat. I’ve been slowly mixing it with some Nature’s Domain dry food to balance the budget. I haven’t seen any Lotus cat food recall news, which gives me confidence in the brand’s safety standards. Highly recommend if you want something clean and high-protein.

Costco membership requirement adds to overall cost consideration for those not already members. Need to factor annual membership fee when calculating savings. However if shopping Costco regularly for other items, adding wet food makes total sense economically.

Small batch production offers potential advantages like fresher ingredients and more quality control attention. Nacho formulas appear to meet nutritional adequacy standards based on their labeling. Limited availability means less widespread testing by consumers, so long-term track record isn’t as established as major brands. However, smaller producers often maintain stricter standards precisely because reputation matters more when you can’t rely on massive marketing. For cats without special needs, small batch brands like Nacho can provide quality nutrition.

My cat has food allergies and the Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein formula has been a complete game changer. The proteins are broken down so small that her immune system doesn’t recognize them as allergens. Her chronic itching and digestive issues completely stopped within three weeks of switching. The food looks and smells weird kind of like cardboard but it works. Sometimes effective medicine doesn’t come in pretty packaging. Results matter more than how fancy the ingredients sound.

    COST COMPARISON: 💰

Applaws wet 2.47oz: $2.30-$2.80 per can
    Applaws dry: $3.80-$4.50 per pound
    Weruva 3oz: $2.50-$3.50 per can
Tiki Cat 2.8oz: $2.20-$2.80 per can
Fancy Feast 3oz: $0.75-$1.00 per can

Applaws is definitely premium priced. The cans are slightly smaller too (2.47oz vs 3oz standard) so you’re paying more per ounce. However the quality is exceptional truly natural ingredients with no fillers, thickeners, or additives. My cat eats less because it’s so protein-rich and satisfying. When you factor in the purity and quality, it’s reasonable for what you’re getting. Worth it if your budget allows for ultimate natural nutrition. 💚🐾
