I bought the orijen cat treat freeze dried original hoping they’d help with food boredom. They did more than thatmy cat now waits at the counter where I store them. I’ve used them to bridge between dry days (Nutra Nuggets) and gravy days (Pure Cravings). Finally found something that doesn’t upset her stomach but still gets her interested enough to try other foods without protest.

Kasiks cat food has been a hit in my house. The cage-free chicken formula grain-free canned food is their favorite. I also tried turkey and chicken. Compared to Nutra Nuggets and Kirkland Signature, Kasiks feels premium and natural. I checked Kasiks cat food nutritional info and phosphorous levels all fine. Portioning is simple, cats eat enthusiastically, digestion is smooth, and coats are shiny. Chewy and Canadian stores carry it. Definitely a high-quality wet cat food choice for anyone looking for cage-free, grain-free, and natural ingredients.

Supreme Source Cat Food has been surprisingly good for my older cats. I picked up the salmon and whitefish wet foods, and both cats seem genuinely excited to eat it. I used to rotate Nature’s Domain and Friskies Supreme Supper, but now I’m mostly sticking with Supreme Source. Their coats look healthier, and digestion has improved. I like that it’s grain-free and full of quality protein. I also found some Supreme Source coupons online, which helped offset the price. Definitely feels like a step up from my usual supermarket brands.

The natural ingredient emphasis from smaller brands often reflects genuine commitment rather than just trendy marketing. Limited online presence makes researching difficult but sometimes lesser-known brands offer quality without massive advertising budgets. Interested in trying if I can locate it locally. Supporting smaller natural brands appeals if quality backs up the natural claims made.

SCIENCE DIET VS ROYAL CANIN (vet brand comparison)

    Both veterinary-recommended with similar approaches:

    Science Diet advantages:

    Longer established reputation in US
    More accessible pricing generally
    Strong clinical research backing
    Better availability in some regions
    Established therapeutic diet expertise

    Royal Canin advantages:

    More breed-specific options
    Different kibble shapes for needs
    Strong European research tradition
    More specialized formulas
    Better palatability for some cats

My view: Both are legitimate science-based brands. Science Diet for established US veterinary tradition. Royal Canin for more specialized options. Either works well for cats needing research-backed nutrition. Choice often comes down to individual cat preference and specific needs.
