I think cat pedigree food works for the owners who just want something straightforward without boutique pricing. I still mix a bit of Pure Cravings tuna with the pedigree indoor cat food to boost protein on days my picky girl acts dramatic. The choice cuts in gravy seem to disappear faster than the kibble. For the pedigree cat food price, you get quantity more than specialty nutrition. Good for budget weeks, not my long-term forever meal. Still, my cats didn’t protest, which is always the deciding factor.

I recently bought SoJo’s cat food freeze-dried grain-free, natural, and the turkey complete cat food. My cats were immediately interested. Compared to Kirkland Signature or Nature’s Domain, it feels more premium and natural. I checked SoJo’s cat food reviews and ingredients, and there are no recalls recently. Cats are energetic, happy, and coats look shiny. Portion sizes are easy to manage, and feeding has become simple. Online availability is solid, and some Canadian stores stock it. I love the variety of recipes, and my cats seem genuinely excited at mealtime.

I first discovered Evanger’s Cat Food through their Cocolicious line didn’t even realize it was from the same company! My cats love both the chicken and the quail recipes. I also like that Evanger’s Dog & Cat Food Co uses real meat as the first ingredient. It’s nice to see a company that still prioritizes nutrition over marketing buzzwords. I’ve tried Nature’s Domain and Nutra Nuggets before, but they didn’t compare to how fresh and wholesome Evanger’s Canned Cat Food feels.

The “Feed Clean” philosophy appeals to me if it’s genuine commitment rather than just marketing tagline. Nutro emphasizes non GMO ingredients, no artificial flavors/colors/preservatives, and traceable sourcing. If they actually follow through on these promises, could justify mid-premium pricing for cleaner natural feeding approach. Need verification from actual users about whether substance matches marketing.

Been using Crave for about eight months and my cat does well on it. The high protein content keeps him satisfied and energetic throughout day. Digestion works smoothly with firm stools. Coat maintains decent shine and texture. The grain-free formula suits his system without issues. Costs around $2.40 per pound which is reasonable for protein-focused food. He stays healthy and vet hasn’t raised concerns. Good mid-premium option for protein emphasis without extreme pricing.

My picky eater surprisingly accepts Sheba consistently. She’s rejected countless foods over the years but eats Sheba reliably. Something about the flavor or texture appeals to her finicky palate. Finding food difficult cats will eat consistently has value beyond just nutrition.
