WhiskerKitchen
ParticipantMy two spoiled cats expect nightly lickable treats, so I bought the Simply Puree cat treats 48 count without hesitation. Zero mess, easy squeeze, and the cats get excited as soon as they hear the packet sound. I compared them with the Wild Eats Simply Puree cat treats and honestly both work great, but the multi-flavor pack keeps enthusiasm higher. I also use them before meals to encourage them to finish Pure Cravings cans on days they seem indifferent.

ParticipantI feed my kittens The Honest Kitchen grain-free chicken recipe dehydrated cat food. Bowls are gone in seconds! 😻 Ingredients in The Honest Kitchen cat food are high-quality and human-grade. I rotate with Holistic Health Extension wet cat food. Petco and Amazon Canada are my main sources. Carb content is much lower than Nutra Nuggets, which is great for indoor kittens. Coats look shiny, stools are firmer, and energy has increased. Sample packs are perfect for testing picky kittens. Definitely a premium cat food that seems better for digestion and overall health than typical dry kibble.

ParticipantI recently switched my cats to Health Extension grain-free turkey & salmon dry cat food. Bowls are always empty! 😺 Ingredients in Health Extension cat food are high-quality and digestible. Hairballs have reduced, coats are shinier, and digestion is smoother. I sometimes mix in Holistic Health Extension wet cat food for variety. Amazon and Chewy are my main sources, with occasional coupons. Price is higher than Kirkland Signature, but the improvements in energy, coat, and digestion make it feel worth it. Definitely a premium holistic option for sensitive stomach cats.

ParticipantHas anyone noticed how good the Lotus wet cat food smells? The Just Juicy Chicken Stew actually looks edible (not that I’d try it, lol). I switched from Nutra Nuggets dry food to Lotus cat food after reading about its small-batch cooking process. My two cats have way more energy now. I order mine from Amazon since it’s faster than Petco delivery. Definitely one of the better premium options if you want a clean ingredient diet without weird fillers or fake flavoring.

ParticipantKirkland wet food formulas provide complete balanced nutrition meeting AAFCO standards for primary diet feeding. Real meat protein sources featured prominently with adequate moisture content around 78-80% supporting hydration. While store brand, Costco’s quality control standards ensure consistent production. The pate texture suits many cats well with smooth consistency. For healthy cats wanting affordable daily wet feeding, Kirkland provides practical value option. The bulk case purchasing requires storage planning but delivers significant cost savings over purchasing premium wet food individually elsewhere.
10/26/2025 at 8:22 am in reply to: Nacho Cat Food Reviews: Fancy Celebrity Brand or Worth the Bowl? #1563WhiskerKitchen
ParticipantTried Nacho’s chicken formula and my cat showed minimal interest. She ate it reluctantly for a few days then started refusing meals entirely. Not sure what specifically she disliked but something about it didn’t appeal to her palate. Quality seemed fine from what I could observe. Just didn’t match her particular preferences. Smaller brands can be hit or miss with individual cat tastes.
10/23/2025 at 2:36 pm in reply to: Royal Canin Cat Food Reviews: Is It Really Vet Recommended? #1439WhiskerKitchen
ParticipantFor cats recovering from illness or surgery, Royal Canin Recovery formula has been excellent. High calorie density means cats get nutrition in smaller volumes when they’re not eating much. It’s also highly palatable which helps when cats are reluctant to eat. My cat had major surgery and the vet sent us home with Recovery formula. He actually ate it enthusiastically when he was refusing everything else. Sometimes therapeutic diets serve specific purposes that regular premium foods can’t address.
10/22/2025 at 5:00 pm in reply to: My Honest Review: What I Learned Feeding My Cat Applaws Cat Food? #1426WhiskerKitchen
ParticipantMy cat wasn’t interested unfortunately 😕 I think the lack of gravy or sauce threw him off? He’s used to foods with thick gravy that coats everything. The natural broth style was too plain for his taste I guess? He sniffed it, took a few licks of the broth, and left all the meat.
Maybe better for cats who prefer simple, natural textures. The quality looked absolutely top notch though just didn’t match his preferences. Such a shame because I really wanted it to work. 🐱💔
