My cats are obsessed with SoJo’s cat food. I started with the freeze-dried raw recipes and then tried the turkey complete cat food. They clean their bowls every time. Compared to Kirkland Signature dry food, SoJo’s feels fresher and more nutrient-rich. I checked SoJo’s cat food reviews and ingredients, and no recall issues came up. Portion sizes are simple to manage, and my cats seem happy and energetic. Online availability is good, and Canadian stores carry it as well. Definitely a brand I’ll continue using for both regular meals and special treat days.

I’m currently alternating between Evanger’s Wet Cat Food and Pure Cravings for variety. My cats love the Organic Salmon and the Chicken Lickin’ Dinner. The moisture content is perfect, especially for one of my cats who doesn’t drink much water. I also love that Evanger’s Cat Food is made by Evanger’s Dog & Cat Food Co Inc, a brand with decades of history. It gives me more confidence in the quality. Haven’t seen any new recalls, so I think their production is more controlled now.

Taste of the Wild frequently appears in sales at pet retailers and online. Their competitive base pricing combined with promotional discounts makes grain-free feeding very affordable. Strategic shopping makes premium grain-free accessible on reasonable budgets.

PRO PLAN VS PURINA ONE (same company comparison)

Both from Purina with different positioning:

    Pro Plan advantages:

    Higher quality ingredients overall
    Specialized targeted formulas
    Better protein sources
    Veterinary recommendation more common
    Advanced nutritional research application

    Purina One advantages:

    More affordable pricing
    Adequate for healthy cats
    Simpler formula selection
    Better budget fit
    Wider retail availability

My view: Pro Plan for cats needing specialized nutrition or maximum quality within Purina. Purina One for healthy cats on budgets. Both backed by same research capabilities. Upgrade to Pro Plan if specific needs warrant premium or you notice benefits justifying cost difference.

    Flavor variety available:

    Pate varieties: Smooth texture options
    Cuts in gravy: Chunky pieces
    Savory chicken: Most popular
    Seafood selections: Fish-based choices

Decent selection for mass-market brand. Enough variety to rotate flavors and prevent boredom. I mix different flavors throughout the week to keep meals interesting.
