ParticipantI grabbed the Vital Essentials rabbit bites freeze-dried cat treats after someone in a raw-feeding group swore by them. My cat didn’t go feral, but he definitely liked them more than the turkey nibs. Texture is dry and crisp, almost like cardboard that turns into meat dust. Not sure how to describe it politely. He usually eats Nature’s Domain or Kirkland Signature but this treat felt fancy. People talking about Vital Essentials cat treats bird flu made me nervous, but mine was not part of that affected batch.

ParticipantTemptations cat treats big bag is my goto because I have three cats. I also give Temptations soft cat treats or creamy puree lickable cat treats as quick rewards. They mostly eat Nutra Nuggets dry food and Nature’s Domain wet food for meals. The dispenser toys are amazing for keeping them mentally stimulated. I checked recall info on Temptations treats, and nothing concerning showed up. No stomach issues so far. Snack time has become playful and interactive, and they love different flavors and textures. Affordable and widely available, I can’t recommend them enough.

ParticipantI alternate Tastefuls wet cat food and Taste of the Wild dry cat food for my two indoor cats. They are energetic, coats are shiny, and litter box habits are better than when I fed Kirkland exclusively. Tastefuls is excellent for sensitive tummies, and my cats actually seem excited about meals something I didn’t see with Pure Cravings. Buying from Chewy is convenient, though Tractor Supply has good bulk pricing. Overall, I feel like this combo hits the sweet spot: Taste of the Wild for protein and Tastefuls for digestibility.

ParticipantMy senior cat loves Instinct Original Cat Food. Appetite is better, digestion is smooth, and hairballs are fewer. Coats are glossier, energy is higher, and litter box odor is controlled. I tried the limited ingredient formulas, and they’re great for sensitive tummies. Compared to Nature’s Domain or Nutra Nuggets, the ingredients feel premium, natural, and thoughtfully sourced. Even picky cats eat it eagerly. Adding a few freeze dried raw pieces or mixing in wet food makes meals more engaging. Definitely a brand I’d recommend for indoor or sensitive cats.

ParticipantNew Zealand ingredient sourcing provides transparency and ethical practices. Free range grass fed lamb, sustainably caught fish, ethical farming throughout. Knowing ingredient origins and production ethics provides confidence beyond just nutritional analysis. Premium pricing partially supports ethical practices.

ParticipantFancy Feast wet food formulas meet AAFCO standards for complete and balanced nutrition as primary diet. The moisture content around 78% provides excellent hydration supporting kidney and urinary health. While ingredient quality is budget-tier with by-products prominent, formulations provide adequate nutrition for daily feeding.
Purina manufacturing ensures consistent production. The 3-ounce portions suit average cats perfectly preventing waste. For cats on tight budgets, daily affordable wet feeding provides better hydration than dry food only. Recommend upgrading when possible but Fancy Feast serves practical purpose making wet feeding accessible.
