I was influenced by too many people calling their pets evermore cats, and curiosity finally won. Texture is honestly the main selling pointit doesn’t feel mass-produced. I used to mix Kirkland Signature with broth just to get her to finish, and now I just add a tablespoon of Evermore. I’m not saying it’s magic, but dinner is silent and peaceful lately. That’s rare.

Nutro Wholesome Essentials cat food has been fantastic. I tried salmon dry and wet pâté options, and my cats love it. Compared to Pure Cravings and Blue Buffalo, Nutro seems fresher and more balanced. Energy is up, digestion is smooth, and coats are shiny. Portioning is easy, and my cats finish every bowl. Nutro indoor cat food is perfect for our indoor kitties. Chewy, Petco, and Costco have good availability. Definitely a high-quality cat food that I feel confident feeding every day.

My two cats are enjoying Pure Balance Wet Cat Food, especially the chicken & brown rice and salmon flavors. I usually mix in Nutra Nuggets or Nature’s Domain for variety, but they always come back to Pure Balance first. I’ve noticed softer coats and more playful energy. I also tried the Pure Balance Pro Plus wet cat food, and my senior cat seems to tolerate it well. I haven’t seen any recalls, and the ingredients look cleaner than some other budget options. PetSmart, Chewy, and Walmart all carry it, which makes re-stocking easy.

My cats are obsessed with Nutro Adult Wet Cat Food, especially the pates. I rotate between Nutro Wholesome Essentials, Feed Clean, and Nutra Nuggets from Costco for variety. Compared to other brands, the texture and aroma are appealing, and my cats always finish their meals. Their energy levels are up, and digestion has been smooth. Even my senior cat enjoys the food consistently. I feel good about the natural ingredients, and the portion sizes are convenient. Overall, my cats are happy, healthy, and excited for mealtime.

IAMS VS PURINA ONE (similar positioning)

    Both established affordable brands:

    Iams advantages:

    Longer independent history originally
    Good availability everywhere
    Proven decades-long track record
    Consistent reliable formulations
    Straightforward approach

    Purina One advantages:

    SmartBlend technology additions
    Purina research backing
    More formula variety available
    Often better sales/promotions
    Stronger current marketing

My view: Both deliver adequate nutrition at affordable prices with established company backing. Iams for proven longevity and simplicity. Purina One for research emphasis and variety. Either works for healthy cats on budgets. Choose based on availability and cat preferences.

Orijen dry formulas contain 85-90% animal ingredients mimicking natural feline prey diet. Protein levels typically reach 40-44% on dry matter basis which is exceptionally high. The freeze-dried liver coating adds natural palatability without artificial enhancers. Fresh regional ingredients sourced from trusted Canadian suppliers.

The biologically appropriate approach aligns with feline carnivore physiology better than carbohydrate-heavy alternatives. For cats without kidney restrictions and owners prioritizing maximum protein, Orijen delivers genuine ultra premium quality. The pricing reflects fresh ingredients, high meat content, and small-batch Canadian production rather than just marketing markup.
