I’ve been giving my cats inaba churu cat treats for a few weeks now, and they’re hooked. The lickable purée natural cat treats in tuna and chicken are their favorites. I sometimes pair them with Nature’s Domain wet food or Nutra Nuggets, which makes it extra appealing. The creamy tubes, pops, and bisque options make it fun to rotate flavors. I also like that inaba churu cat treats ingredients are simple and seem safe. Even my finicky cat comes running for these treats, and I love how easy they are to use for training or bonding.

I just started my senior cat on Tender and True canned cat food whitefish and turkey & liver recipes. He loves it, and I noticed his appetite has improved. I compared it to Nature’s Domain wet cat food, and Tender & True seems less processed and more organic. I’m curious to try the premium line for kidney support. Amazon and Sprouts are the easiest places I’ve found to buy it. I also looked at the ingredients list for Tender & True organic cat food, and it feels more transparent than most other options.

I used Wild Harvest grain free cat food for a few months when money was tight. For the price, it held up better than I expected. My vet said it’s okay as long as my cat is maintaining weight, which he is. I do wonder who makes Wild Harvest brand cat food because getting accurate info is weirdly difficult. It’s everywhere in smaller supermarkets but not as common online. If you want more protein, Pure Cravings or Nature’s Domain definitely win, but Wild Harvest is a workable everyday food.

I recently switched to American Natural Premium cat food grain-free formula for my picky eater. Ingredients in American Natural Premium cat food seem high-quality, and she enjoys it. Digestion has improved, stools are firmer, and hairballs are less frequent. I rotate wet options like Pure Cravings or Nature’s Domain for variety. Amazon, Chewy, and PetSmart are convenient sources, sometimes with discount codes. Price is higher than Nutra Nuggets, but noticeable improvements in coat and energy make it worth it. Definitely a premium holistic cat food option for picky or sensitive cats.

My cat had some skin allergy issues, and Whole Earth Farms grain-free cat food was the only thing that helped. The dry formula with chicken worked like magic. I can’t believe it’s suddenly gone! Petco told me Merrick might be shifting focus toward their main brand, which is disappointing. I’ve been testing Lotus cat food as a replacement it’s oven-baked and grain-free like Whole Earth Farms, but it’s a bit pricey. Still, quality-wise, it feels close.

MEOW MIX LONG-TERM EXPERIENCE Six Years

    My extended budget feeding journey:

Years 1-2: Started Meow Mix during financial hardship after job loss. My cat Oscar transitioned without refusing food or digestive upset. Weight stayed stable throughout. Nothing impressive but he kept eating consistently without major issues.

Years 3-4: His coat seemed duller than ideal but not alarmingly so. Energy adequate though not exceptional. Vet checkups showed acceptable ranges though not perfect markers. No immediate health crisis but not thriving either. Health remained steady mediocre.

Years 5-6: Six years on Meow Mix now. He’s maintained survival adequate health throughout entire period. Not thriving at peak but definitely not suffering or seriously declining. Regular routine established without dramatic problems. Stable adequacy basically.

Assessment: Meow Mix kept him alive and reasonably functional during extended financial constraints. Not optimal and I’d upgrade if budget allowed. Grateful affordable option existed during hardship years even if not ideal nutrition.

Tried Purina One Indoor formula and my cat developed increased gas and softer stools within ten days. Switched back to previous food and issues resolved. Could have been specific ingredient disagreement rather than overall quality problem. Just didn’t suit her particular digestive system. Works fine for many cats based on reviews but wasn’t right match for mine.

We switched to Open Farm about seven months back and haven’t looked back. What sold me initially was their ingredient transparency – you can literally trace where the chicken or fish comes from on their website. My cat’s health has been excellent on it. Her coat developed this incredible softness and shine that wasn’t there before.

Digestion has been consistently good with no upset. The ethical sourcing matters to me personally since I care about animal welfare and environmental impact. Yes it costs more (roughly $4 per pound for dry food) but knowing the animals were humanely raised and the fish is sustainably caught makes the premium worthwhile for our household.
