Every time I open the fridge, my cat stares like she’s summoning an album cover moment, very Devin Townsend evermore cat coded. But honestly, she’s happier on evermore cat food than on fish-heavy Pure Cravings days. I like that there’s no synthetic smell. It’s subtle, earthy, and she actually licks her whiskers after eating instead of leaving half behind.

My cats love Nutro Max wet cat food. Duck & potato, chicken & brown rice, and salmon cuts in gravy are all favorites. Compared to Nutra Nuggets or Kirkland Signature, Nutro feels more premium. Portioning is simple, energy is up, digestion is smooth, and coats look healthy. I buy Nutro cat food from Chewy, Petco, and Costco. Indoor cat formulas work great for keeping energy levels steady. Definitely a high-quality, grain-free or wholesome meal option for both wet and dry diets.

My indoor cats are on Pure Balance Wet Cat Food, mainly salmon and chicken & brown rice flavors. They eat it consistently, which is rare they usually ignore cheaper supermarket options. I rotate with Nutra Nuggets for variety. Their coats are softer, and they’re more active. I tried the Pure Balance Pro formula for sensitive stomachs too, and it seems gentler than Kirkland Signature. I bought it at Walmart and Chewy, which is convenient. I’ve read some online complaints about the wet food being discontinued, but I can still find it locally without any issues.

My cats have been on Reveal Wet Cat Food in Broth and the dry kibble for a few weeks now, and they love it. The wet food is soft, flavorful, and the broth keeps them hydrated. Compared to Kirkland or Nutra Nuggets, I feel the ingredients are higher quality and more natural. Their digestion is good, energy levels have improved, and even my senior cat eats eagerly. Portioning is convenient, and the variety of wet flavors prevents boredom. Definitely a brand I feel confident feeding daily.

My senior cat at 16 years does acceptably on Iams Healthy Senior formula. Her needs aren’t particularly specialized beyond typical aging considerations. She maintains appropriate weight and bloodwork stays reasonably normal. Not every elderly cat requires expensive prescription formulas if regular senior food meets requirements adequately.

ORIJEN VS ACANA (same company comparison)

    Both made by Champion Petfoods:

    Orijen advantages:

HIGHER meat content (85-90% vs 75%)
    More protein per serving
    Premium flagship formulation
    Best for very active cats
    Ultimate if budget allows

    Acana advantages:

More affordable ($1+ less per pound)
    Still excellent quality
    Adequate for less active cats
    Easier on budget long-term
    Same quality standards

My view: Orijen is absolute ULTIMATE but Acana is fantastic “almost-Orijen” at better price. Both top-tier quality. I feed Orijen because my cat is young and active, but would happily use Acana if budget tighter. Same company reliability, slightly different formulations.
