ParticipantCan we talk about how intense the excitement level is when I open minnow treats for cats? My cat actually vibrates with happiness. I’ve tried dried and freeze dried minnow cat treats, and both are great, but freeze dried stays fresher longer. Nature’s Domain turkey mixed with a couple of minnows is now our dinner formula. No fillers, no grain, and a crunch that sounds like he’s eating chips. It’s glorious. Even my dog begs for one, so I checkedapparently are minnows treats ok for cats or dogsand yes, safely sharable.

ParticipantMy cats are obsessed with the Hound & Gatos rabbit canned cat food. I also picked up the duck and chicken & liver wet options, and they clean the bowls immediately. I’m considering the grain-free gamebird formula for variety. Hound & Gatos cat food ingredients seem very clean, especially compared to some budget-friendly brands. I looked at reviews online, and many owners report improved coat health and digestion. Buying online was easy, and local stores carry it too. So far, it feels like a reliable, high-quality brand that my cats actually enjoy eating.
11/24/2025 at 12:29 pm in reply to: Unleashing My Thoughts: My Updated RAWZ Cat Food Reviews for Cat Parents #4654CatPantryCo
ParticipantMy cats didn’t love the RAWZ beef cat food as much as I hoped, but the turkey pâté is a household favorite. I like that the RAWZ cat food cans don’t smell overly processed. I’ve compared carbohydrates in RAWZ cat food with some other brands and it’s definitely on the lower side. I used to feed Kirkland Signature, which is fine, but RAWZ seems gentler on digestion. I get mine from Petco because PetSmart doesn’t sell RAWZ cat food here. Still waiting for local stores to carry more than two flavors.

ParticipantI recently switched my picky kitten to Nom Nom fresh wet cat food. Bowls are gone in minutes! 😻 Ingredients in Nom Nom cat food are really digestible and high-quality. Digestion has improved, stools are firmer, and coat is glossy. I rotate Nom Nom Now cat food for convenience and sometimes Nutra Nuggets or Pure Cravings for crunch. Amazon and the official Nom Nom store in Canada are my main sources. Price is higher than regular dry food, but health and coat benefits make it worthwhile. Definitely a great premium option for kittens or picky eaters.

ParticipantDave’s Cat Food might not have flashy packaging, but it’s solid. My vet said it’s a great option for cats with sensitive stomachs, especially the turkey and giblets formula. My cat used to vomit regularly, but after a month on Dave’s Naturally Healthy Cat Food, that stopped. I also bought the grain-free chicken cans huge hit. My only gripe is the limited stock. I wish PetSmart carried it more widely. It’s definitely better than most supermarket brands I’ve tried.
10/30/2025 at 9:49 am in reply to: Real Birdie and Louie Cat Food Review: Small Brand, Big Taste? #2467CatPantryCo
ParticipantBIRDIE AND LOUIE VS ESTABLISHED SMALL BRANDS:
Known small brands (Fromm, NutriSource):
Company history available
Customer reviews exist
Regional distribution established
Brand reputation verifiable
Track record accessibleUnknown brands (Birdie and Louie):
No verifiable history
Zero reviews available
Extremely limited availability
No reputation to evaluate
Unknown track record entirelyAssessment: Even genuinely small brands usually have some verifiable presence and information. Complete obscurity is unusual and concerning for making informed responsible decisions about cat’s nutrition.
10/26/2025 at 12:48 pm in reply to: Simply Nourish Cat Food Reviews: My Experience Feeding Two Cats #1660CatPantryCo
ParticipantLimited ingredient formulas simplify identifying potential allergens or sensitivities. My cat has mild food reactions and the simple recipes help pinpoint what she tolerates. Fewer components mean easier troubleshooting if problems arise. Nice having natural limited ingredient option at accessible price point.
10/24/2025 at 3:24 pm in reply to: My Honest Nutrish Cat Food Reviews After a Month of Feeding #1507CatPantryCo
ParticipantNutritionally, Nutrish formulas meet AAFCO standards for complete and balanced nutrition. The Zero Grain line eliminates wheat, corn, and soy which appeals to grain-free preferences. Protein levels are moderate, appropriate for average indoor cats. Not exceptionally high protein like some premium brands but adequate for typical needs. The affordability comes from simpler formulations and broader retail distribution rather than necessarily lower quality ingredients. For healthy cats without special requirements, Nutrish provides sufficient nutrition at accessible price point.
