I tried Fresh Step crystal cat litter out of curiosity, especially the health monitoring crystals. It was interesting seeing color changes, but my cat wasn’t thrilled with the texture. Odor control was decent at first, but once saturated, it smelled fast. I also didn’t love stirring instead of scooping. We went back to Fresh Step scoopable clumping litter pretty quickly. With Nutra Nuggets dry food, clumping clay just seems easier to manage in my routine.
