Fresh Step Febreze cat litter was a no-go for my cats. I liked the smell at first, but they clearly didn’t. One started hesitating before using the box. I switched to Fresh Step simply unscented, and the problem disappeared. Lesson learned: cats care more about scent than we do. Clumping stayed strong across both versions, though. With Pure Cravings wet food, unscented is definitely the safer choice in my house.
