I’ve officially replaced all crunchy treats with cat treat minnows. The difference in ingredient simplicity is unreal. 100% wild-caught dried minnows cat treats feel like feeding them straight from nature. When I added them to Kirkland Signature wet food, my cat literally licked the bowl clean, then screamed for more. They’re light, crunchy, and easy to break apart if you want smaller pieces. I appreciate a treat that isn’t coated in flavor dust or suspicious extras. Just fish, protein, and happiness.

I’ve been feeding my cats Hound & Gatos wet cat food for a few weeks especially the rabbit and lamb & liver recipes. They love it! I also rotate in the dry formulas to give them crunch. I checked hound & gatos cat food reviews and ingredients, and it feels premium, especially compared to Kirkland Signature or Nutra Nuggets. My cats’ coats look healthier, and digestion seems smooth. Ordering online was simple, and I found a few local stores that carry it. The grain-free options also look impressive for sensitive stomachs.

Honestly, the minute I opened the RAWZ duck cat food, my cat went feral. That duck liver pâté must have some kind of magic. The shredded turkey can was good too, though a little watery. I like that RAWZ cat food ingredients avoid gums, because my cat always gets stomach upset with guar gum. I did check the phosphorus levels once, and they weren’t too bad. I rotate with Pure Cravings when I want something fishier. RAWZ cat food where to buy is always an issue, so I end up ordering online most of the time.

The affordability of Dave’s Cat Food is what first caught my eye, but the quality kept me coming back. I started with the Dave’s 95% Chicken formula my cats licked the bowls clean! It’s rare to find high-protein food without fillers at that price point. I’ve seen “Dave’s Cat Food Recall” posts online, but I couldn’t find any real issues. My cats have been fine on it for over a year. I alternate between the Shredded Chicken and the Cat’s Meow varieties to keep things interesting.

My cat does adequately on Birdie and Louie but I maintain backup food from more available established brand just in case. If supply becomes unavailable suddenly, I need immediate reliable alternative accessible. Depending entirely on extremely obscure brand creates unnecessary risk if availability becomes suddenly problematic without warning.

Exclusive to PetSmart means less shopping flexibility. Can’t price compare across retailers or take advantage of sales elsewhere. However PetSmart stores are common enough that availability rarely becomes issue. Just requires accepting single-retailer restriction for this brand.

My cat stays healthy on Nutrish but I supplement with occasional premium wet food for variety and extra hydration. The dry Nutrish works as affordable base diet while adding quality wet food few times weekly provides nutritional boost. This combination keeps costs manageable while ensuring she gets some premium nutrition mixed in. Seems like reasonable compromise between budget and quality.
