PurrDine
ParticipantI think minnow cat treats might be my greatest discovery yet. My cat usually likes creamy toppers, but freeze dried minnows cat treats turned him into a savage little hunter. He carries them off like prey, which is adorable and a little dramatic. Nature’s Domain wet food plus a couple of minnow munchies cat treats on top is our new dinner routine. It adds protein without calories or junk. They’re crunchy, smelly in the best way for cats, and so clean ingredient-wise I actually feel good offering them daily.

ParticipantHound & Gatos wet cat food has been a hit in my house. My cats love the 100% rabbit formula, and the wet variety packs make it easy to test new flavors without committing. I’ve also tried the dry food for rotation. I looked into hound & gatos cat food recall history and phosphorus levels nothing concerning. Compared to Nature’s Domain or Nutra Nuggets, the ingredients feel cleaner and more natural. Ordering online was straightforward, and local stores carry it too. My cats’ coats look shinier, and they seem more energetic overall.

ParticipantHas anyone else tried the RAWZ shredded cat food? The shredded chicken is a total win in my house. My cats get tired of pâté textures quickly, but this one keeps them engaged. I’m always keeping an eye out for RAWZ cat food recall talk, though I haven’t heard anything recent. I switch between RAWZ salmon cat food and the duck liver pâté depending on who’s eating that day. Compared to Kirkland Signature, RAWZ is pricier, but the texture and smell are way better. I find mine on RAWZ cat food Amazon most of the time.

ParticipantI started feeding my cats Nom Nom fresh cat food recently, mainly the chicken cuisine recipe. They absolutely love it! 😺 I’ve noticed their energy is up, and their coats look shinier compared to the Kirkland Signature dry food we used before. Digestion seems smoother, too. I rotate in wet options like Nature’s Domain or Nutra Nuggets for variety. I buy mine mostly through the official Nom Nom store, sometimes on Amazon Canada when they have promo codes. Price is higher than typical dry cat food, but the visible health improvements make it feel worth it.
11/13/2025 at 12:56 pm in reply to: I Tried Dave’s Cat Food: My Honest Review and My Cat’s Reaction #3909PurrDine
ParticipantI recently tried Dave’s Restricted Diet Cat Food because my senior cat needed low phosphorus meals. It’s been a lifesaver. She eats it happily and no more throwing up or stomach discomfort. I also picked up the Dave’s Pet Food Renal Cat Treats, which she surprisingly enjoys rare for a picky eater! I used to feed her Nature’s Domain, but Dave’s feels gentler and more balanced. I just wish it were easier to find locally. I might stock up from Chewy or PetFlow before it runs out.
10/30/2025 at 9:46 am in reply to: Real Birdie and Louie Cat Food Review: Small Brand, Big Taste? #2464PurrDine
ParticipantThe complete absence of online reviews or brand information is major red flag for me personally. Legitimate brands have some digital presence even if very small operations. Total obscurity suggests either extremely new startup or very regional limited operation. Either scenario carries significant risks regarding consistency, availability, and long-term viability concerns.
10/26/2025 at 12:44 pm in reply to: Simply Nourish Cat Food Reviews: My Experience Feeding Two Cats #1657PurrDine
ParticipantThe natural ingredient focus appeals to me more than conventional brands with long chemical lists. Simply Nourish seems like PetSmart’s response to natural food trends. Ingredient panels look cleaner than regular Authority line. Price premium over basic store brand seems justified if quality backs up claims. Planning to pick up small bag this weekend and test it out. Hoping my cat accepts it.
10/24/2025 at 2:38 pm in reply to: My Honest Nutrish Cat Food Reviews After a Month of Feeding #1501PurrDine
ParticipantPRICING COMPARISON:
Nutrish Zero Grain: $1.70-$2.10 per pound
Nutrish regular formulas: $1.50-$1.90 per pound
Blue Buffalo: $2.50-$3.00 per pound
Wellness: $2.60-$3.20 per pound
Grocery store brands: $1.20-$1.60 per poundNutrish occupies interesting middle ground between basic grocery brands and mid-premium options. Costs slightly more than budget food but significantly less than premium brands. The value proposition works if your cat doesn’t need specialized nutrition. For budget-conscious households wanting better than grocery store quality without premium pricing, Nutrish fits that niche.
