I just tried freeze dried minnow cat treats for the first time and wow, the reaction was instant. The smell alone sends both cats running. I mixed a few with Pure Cravings tuna cups, and they didn’t even pause to breathe between bites. I like that they’re single-ingredient and 100% wild-caught dried minnows cat treats, nothing weird added. I’ve tried crunchy snacks before but these hit differently because they feel more natural. Even my dog sneaks in for a bite, and apparently they’re fine for both pets, which is super convenient in a mixed-animal house.

Tiki cat treats are a favorite here. My cats adore the wet treats, mousse treats, and soft & chewy options. The stix mousse cat treats, especially tuna and chicken, are perfect for rewards or interactive feeding. I crumble a little tiki cat tummy topper pumpkin & wheatgrass cat treat over Nature’s Domain or Kirkland Signature food, and it disappears in seconds. The baby soft and chewy mini treats are perfect for kittens. I feel good giving tiki cat treats because they’re wholesome, flavorful, and my cats genuinely love them every day.

Tender & True cat food has made mealtime so much easier. My cats love the dry organic chicken & liver and wet turkey & liver. I compared it to Kirkland Signature, Nature’s Domain, and Nutra Nuggets, and Tender & True feels cleaner and more organic. I checked ingredients and phosphorus content since I have an older cat, and it seems good. I saw Tender & True cat food reviews mentioning better coats and digestion all true here. Bought from Sprouts and Amazon, and availability is decent. Definitely worth trying for cats who are picky or need high-quality ingredients.

I’ve been feeding RAWZ wet cat food for about two months now, mostly the shredded chicken cans and the turkey pâté. My picky boy shockingly loves the RAWZ natural premium pâté canned cat wet food, especially the rabbit version. I also keep a bag of RAWZ dry cat food around because it’s meal-free and pretty light on carbs. I used to rotate Nature’s Domain and Nutra Nuggets, but RAWZ feels cleaner ingredient-wise. I just wish it were easier to find; half the time I’m Googling “RAWZ cat food near me” like a maniac.

I recently switched my kittens to American Natural Premium original recipe dry cat food. Bowls are empty quickly! 😺 Ingredients in American Natural Premium cat food are high-quality and digestible. Coat, digestion, and energy have all improved. I rotate wet options like American Natural Premium canned cat food or Pure Cravings dry cat food. Chewy and Amazon are reliable sources, sometimes with coupons. Price is higher than Kirkland Signature, but noticeable health improvements make it worthwhile. Holistic premium option for kittens or picky cats.

My experience with Wildology wet cat food stores locally has been mixed sometimes they run out of Climb meals. Chewy is my go-to for both dry and wet options. My cat loves the super premium blends, especially the turkey formula. Hairball control works I’ve noticed a drop in the usual coughing fits. Ingredients in Wildology cat food are top-notch: high-quality proteins, some vegetables, and no fillers. Compared to cheaper wet foods like Nutra Nuggets, the difference is huge. I feel like my cat actually digests this food better, and the price seems justified.

I’ve been feeding my cats Dave’s Naturally Healthy Cat Food for about six months, and it’s honestly one of the best changes I’ve made. The wet recipes, especially the Dave’s Shredded Chicken Cat Food and Turkey & Giblets, actually smell like food. My picky eater loves them. I buy from Chewy, but lately, it’s been harder to find some flavors in stock. I also like that they have a restricted diet line it helped my older cat manage his phosphorus levels. For the price, Dave’s Cat Food really delivers quality without the crazy markup.

I switched my diabetic cat to Dr. Elsey’s CleanProtein Cat Food after hearing it mimics a cat’s natural diet. The chicken dry formula worked wonders his blood sugar stabilized, and his coat got softer. I also mix in the CleanProtein Chicken canned food for moisture. It’s pricey, sure, but compared to brands like Kirkland Signature or Nature’s Domain, I think it’s cleaner and more species appropriate. I usually buy it from Chewy since it’s hard to find Dr. Elsey’s cat food near me.

Birdie and Louie appears to be very small independent brand with minimal distribution and virtually no online presence. Limited information makes evaluating quality and long-term track record objectively difficult. For cats without special needs, smaller indie brands sometimes provide adequate natural formulations. However, lack of established track record, customer reviews, and widespread availability creates practical concerns about supply reliability. If local boutique discontinues carrying it, finding replacement supply becomes immediate serious problem. Consider whether committing to extremely obscure brand worth potential supply disruption risks long-term.

PURINA NATURALS VS PURINA BEYOND (Natural Comparison)

    Both Purina natural lines:

    Naturals advantages:

    More affordable pricing
    Good availability everywhere
    Adequate natural formulation
    Purina reliability
    Accessible natural option

    Beyond advantages:

    Better natural reputation
    Cleaner ingredient perception
    More established natural line
    Slightly better positioning
    Stronger natural identity

My take: Both are Purina natural attempts. Beyond has stronger natural brand identity. Naturals is more affordable. Either provides natural ingredients with Purina backing. Choose based on budget and brand preference.

Been using Simply Nourish for about six months and pleasantly surprised by the quality. The limited ingredient formulas work well for my cat’s sensitive digestion. She maintains healthy weight and her coat looks good on it. Ingredients are genuinely cleaner than typical store brands with recognizable components. Costs around $2.40 per pound which is reasonable for natural positioning. Available only at PetSmart which limits shopping flexibility but quality seems legitimate. My cat stays healthy and vet hasn’t raised concerns during checkups.

Been using Nutrish for nearly a year now and honestly surprised by how well it works for the price point. My cat does fine on it – healthy weight, good coat, normal energy levels. The Zero Grain line avoids common fillers while staying affordable. Sure it’s not ultra-premium but it delivers decent nutrition without destroying my budget. Costs about $1.80 per pound which is reasonable for grain-free food. My cat eats it willingly and her vet hasn’t raised any concerns. Sometimes you don’t need the fanciest brand if a mid-range option meets your cat’s needs adequately.
